  1. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good inexpensive sub that would keep up with Lascalas. I'm kind of missing the lower octave.
  2. I'd like a couple of those Voigt Pipes off to the side. edit: Correction, lowther single drivers. I'd take those too, even more so.
  3. It's been a year since I bought this table from KI Choi, and I'm loving it more now than ever. It's now my one and only table. I've made a couple of changes, which include the SME 345 arm I robbed off my Avid at the time, and an AT33PTG cartridge. Again, thank you Ki for this great table!
  4. By "twisting" the cartridge, what do you mean? Setup is very important for good vinyl playback. Go to vinyl engine and print out a two point protractor, if you haven't already done so. You'll be happy you did.
  5. I'm curious also. I was going to do the upgrade too, until I tried the French Mazda 6DJ8. Now I see no reason to change.
  6. I don't know if you've noticed, but pot's pretty much legal in a few states. CA,CO,MT, to name a few.
  7. The Blueberry he bought also has 2 phono inputs. I've owned both and they're both great. The main difference you'll notice is the extreme has a "standby" mode. Maybe Dean will come in and explain the other differences.
  8. Weight has nothing to do with sound quality. You'll find that some original thin lps from days gone by sound better than new reissues in 180-200 gram form.
  9. I highly recommend a Jico SAS replacement stylus for the V15. The Shibata diamond will make it better than new.
  10. You should try an AT33 PTG if you like the DL103. I've been through many cartridges in the last few years, most were much more than I paid for the 33PTG. I've owned 3 different versions of the DL103R, which is an awesome cartridge, but this AT is the best bang for the buck cart I've purchased.
  11. Excellent advice! I spent tons "o" cash to find the perfect "blend".
  12. Is it the music, or do you just want to beat up homosexuals? Beat me to it Fini [^o)]
  13. I had a Thorens 165 with a Origin arm which I liked but prefer the Scout. How do the 124's compare to the 165's? What cart do you use with your 124? Great looking table!I use an AT33PTG cartridge. Great sounding cart for the money.
  14. This is with the SME 345 And the 12" Cherry Arm
  15. I've owned a Scout, and currently a TD-124. To me, there's no contest. The Thorens is much better in my system.
  16. Get a Uwe wood body and do it yourself. I couldn't tell any difference between my Zu and my diy one. I potted mine with epoxy putty which brought it up to the ZU.
  17. Sorry, way off topic. Mighty Favog, is the quote in your signature, "If your not ready for a happening....STAND BACK!!" ,from Virgil Fox "Live at Fillmore East" ?
  18. I bet you're using a mac. This site isn't Mac friendly.
  19. Give Craig a call, he should have a pretty good idea.
