    WOW 60 today

Have a happy one and congratulations making it this far! Last week I was flying home from work travel and ended up in the middle seat between two other guys in their 50's. We started talking about family, grandkids, etc so inevitably age came up. One of them gave me a great Satchel Paige quote: "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"
  3. Corn, the one i have now is black and no wood case. Let us know how you like the upgrade. Craig, appreciate the input.
  4. Need one for my JM blueberry preamp. The Russian military grade one.
  5. Does it have a main in jack? If so, have you tried using it only the main in/amp section it with a separate preamp? Does the protection circuitry thing still get triggered in that configuration?
  6. oh, and that is the nakamichi ta-4a.
  7. Does anyone know the input impedance of the amp/main in section of the ta-4a? Can't seem to clearly find it online. Need to know if I can use it with my blueberry until I get a tube amp.
  8. Welcome, this is a great group and a fun hobby.
  9. Good for you. Keep us up to date. I would like to see a remote be available with it.
  10. Please let us know your impressions when you have had a chance to listen for a while. Since you have been running SS for some time and it sounds like it may be your first venture into tubes, it will be interesting to hear your impression of the differences between tubes and SS.
  11. This is the second recommendation in this thread for the VTA ST-120. Intriguing.
  12. Finally worked up the nerve to open it up and just looked closely and felt to see if the connections around the bias adjustments were good. Everything looked good. Hooked it back up and now the I am getting a bias reading on both sides. Guess I got lucky and jiggled something right? Thanks Don Richard and Mustang Guy for the responses!
  13. Great sounding amp. Had one, wish I still had it. Absolutely gorgeous too. Good luck.
  14. Interesting. How would this amp stack up against vrd's? Not to hijack thread but this info hopefully is relevant to original poster as well.
  15. Any technical questions on these networks I'll defer to people who know what they are talking about. Never used these so obviously can't comment on the sound either.
  16. Thanks for the feedback everyone. If anyone has any use for these as parts make me a reasonable offer and they are yours. Mark's right, the khorns with the ESN's are a great sounding pair of speakers. That is why I won't have any use for these. Tim
