I know, I know.... I keep thinking about bringing them over and showing them my setup. I imagine the look of wonderment when they see those little guys, until I hit the go button. As I said before, my subs are literally bigger than the Heresy's. Funny. But the sound they produce is crazy. Crap, I've got horny syndrome.

Have been listening to them nearly the entire day. Great thing is when you get on them they don't seem to fatigue. The 5.5's would hit a point, a loud point at that, and seemed like they'd start to fall apart. They could go louder but it wasn't worth it. Another anomaly, my sub has disappeared. With the 5.5's there was a definite localization. With the II's it's all together. All I did was turn the sub gain up one notch, no placement changes, etc., etc. Can't wait to hear them with both subs. Having a blast. Thinking of doing a full refinish on the II's, eventually, for now I'm just enjoying the music. Thanks again gents for the push over the fence. BTW, Stevie Ray Vaughn sounds really good live.......

Much appreciated Diz. I'm seriously considering selling the 5.5's and going with these for now. I didn't like how the original 5.5 diaphragms sounded in the Heresy's so I stole the Crites diaphragms from the 5.5's and put them in Heresy's. Great improvement. I'm a hard rock guy for the most part, so there's a loss of overall impact with the Heresy's, but the dynamics are sooo much better. The midrange horn makes such a difference. I'm listening to jazz right now and again, wow, great sound from these little guys. By the way, I think I've just enrolled myself in the D level Heritage club. These two were born in '87. Pretty sure I'm going to get new gaskets for all the drivers. Looking for more upgrades now. Too much fun. One of the woofer gaskets was totally out of place when someone at Klipsch popped holes in it. Thanks again all. Smiling big with bottom level Klipsch. Sound I've been waiting for. Bought them for $350, but I'm an idiot. When I was looking at them I didn't notice that one of them had serious water damage to the bottom of it, wasn't noticeable where they were sitting. Same thing when I listened to them, thought they'd sound better at home, listened to them outside. I wanted to see and hear what wasn't there. So, I've started working on the bottom of the one to repair it as best I can and ended up having to change both tweeter diaphragms. Luckily, the diaphragms in the II's and the 5.5's are the same. So, I had the original ones from the 5.5's to throw in. Now I know why I changed them to Crites. Ohm tested all of the other drivers and all was good. So, I've been listening to them for a bit now and I'm pretty impressed. They're not as in your face as the 5.5's, not as much bass, but the imaging is better and the midrange is definitely improved. Surprising for such a small speaker. Overall, I'm glad I did it. I'll get them doctored up and enjoy them for now. Just have to figure out how to put the 5.5's and the II's with 2 subs across the front. Going to get creative. Thanks again gents. Here's some pics. The pics are doing them some justice. So, he's got them for sale, but, there's a strip of birch missing from the bottom front of the speaker on the left. Doesn't sound to hard to replace but I don't know, are they still worth the asking price?

Hmmm, he just reposted them at $375. I sense a desperation sell, wonder what I could get them for. Updates will be forthcoming..

So, these are up for sale near me. As are Horns, Scala's, Chorus, etc.. But, I'm a budget limited gent. So, these came up, look to be in very good condition, but am wondering if I should entertain them as my mains. I've said before, a few times, my mains now are 5.5's. I just want to get towards a taste of the 3-way horn sound. What prefaces this is that I got to spend some time with another forum member earlier this week that has custom Jub's L & R, Horns for his rear channels, yes, I said Horns for his rear channels, and a Belle center, oh, and an 8' tall sub in the LF corner. He had 3 racks of audio pleasantries with SS, tubes, vinyl, analog, passive, electronic, just about every combo you could come up with. It was awesome to say the least, never reaching above 78 db. Anyway, curious as to what others would think the Heresy's would be in place of the 5.5's, slanted risers (would have to make, or purchase). I want a taste, understood a small one at that, of the tonal dynamics that I experienced. Worth a look, or should I just keep saving? Thanks. Asking price is $400.

I would try different placement options first. Move it around the room and play the same track until you find a sweet spot. I would aim more towards a corner. Also, I would set the crossover point at 80hz and go from there, bring it up a bit from the bottom of your mains, just makes them all happier. Has great reviews on Amazon. It's not a powerhouse sub, 150 watt rms, but ported with a 10 it should play reasonably well. Let us know what you find.

That is awesome. There may not be enough drivers though, may have a problem with room modes, not. Can you imagine trying to time align that setup? Would love to hear some music and then watch a movie there. Cool pic.

Sorry, I dig this thread. Get out the measuring tape, apply some audio geometry, and have a listen. Too fun. Ahh, what lengths, no pun intended, we'll go to enjoy our tunes. Placement, placement, placement... If non-Horn user don't forget about toe in. You can spend days angling, re-angling, just to find that sweet spot of imagery. Move slightly from the back wall, reverse towards the back wall, toe-in half an inch more, or less, it's endless. I do like the triangle. Have fun Shakeydeal!!

I can't imagine how loud that would be in your space, fun. Looks like your listening chair is near field and within the triangle. Hope it sounds fantastic when you get them dialed in. By the way, your TV now has little man syndrome....

I would be extremely surprised if Klipsch ever got rid of the Heritage line, kind of the 'soul' of Klipsch. Don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. BTW, Klipsch made Heritage headphones, see. And you guys thought you knew all there was to know about Heritage gear....
