That Pioneer would sound nice too. Thats a good deal at that price. The Pioneer is a class D amp and will not run hot. Meaning, cool to the touch. I have a Pioneer SC 1222K and I like the way it sounds with my RF 7ii. If it has the features you want/need, I'd save the money and get this receiver.

Interesting. My room is basically a rectangle shaped room maybe 18 ft X 30 ft with vaulted ceiling. I may start another thread one of these days with drawing showing the room and see what opinions I get for setup. I have the speakers, amps and receiver to handle 7.2 I just dont know if I have the room or should I say a room ideal for 7.1

+ 1 to check wires. I had a speaker (used) shipped to me and the shipper wrapped it up nice and neat, very well protected. They worked fine for about 1 week and 1 speaker quit working. I tried the usual and ended up looking at the drivers. Yep. the wires came off the driver, hooked em up and all is well. I have no idea how they cam loose just sitting there for 1 week, but they did. But as mentioned earlier, you will be taken care of if there is a problem. Good luck and keep us posted.

What do you guys think? I have the RF 7ii, RC 64ii and the RS7. Do you think it is worth changing my RS 7 for the RS 62ii? I use 5.1 setup for HT. I have successfully convinced myself there wont be much of a difference, and its not worth it, but would like to hear from the Ol Wise Owls here. Help me SAVE my money here not spend it! LOL. But let the truth set me free! What cha think?

I remember about 25 years ago the White Van showed up on our construction job site. Just so happened to be around quitting time and one of the guys on my crew took the bait. I didnt know it was a scam at the time and evidently he didnt either. He had to go to ATM machine to get the money, so we followed him to store (so we could get a cold beer, you could do that back then and drive). I think he paid around $800.00 for a pair of tower speakers. I remember being envious that I couldnt afford such a great deal and I always remembered that deal cuz I wanted it too dammit! It was years later that I learned it was a scam and thankful I didnt bite. Oh yeah, that is a lot of money these days but back then it was A LOT of money to me. I guess raising kids does have a bright side!! LOL. Thats what kept me from being sucked in! Unbelievable they can still pull that scam off especially with the internet now days. Werent such a thing back then.

On my Yammy, Direct picks up 2.1 but Pure Direct is 2.0 only. I was impressed by the base the 7ii have in Pure Direct, but I still like 2.1 better.

The problem I had is exactly as described by Marvel. Very time consuming and many times had to restart it for various unknown reasons. It just seems sometimes it worked great and other times it was frustrating enough to want to chunk it all in the garbage. I'm glad I can keep my temper down now that I'm older. Not sure that wouldve happened in my early years. Thanks for the links. I'll check em out.

This doesnt sound right. If you are using AVR, then check the settings and make sure you are in direct (or pure direct) and those 7ii should come alive in 2 channel or 2.1. No way should they sound hollow, or missing.
