you'll still be able to hear most of the frequency range, just not up to 18k or 20k. i'd offer that efficient speakers would be ones to consider as you get older, ones that could give you 105db at one watt/one meter. if anyone has any suggestions as to who would make such a speaker, please let us know..

i'd experiment for that reasonable price. i think double the power gives you 3db increase in volume, it takes 10 times the power to double the volume. that said, is volume what you want to purchase? there is more to consider, more to gain.

<I have refoamed them and when I play them, they rattle.....I need advice on how to stop the vibrating. Most likely depositing them in the trash bin will solve your problem. If you can still hear them rattle, try moving your trash can down to the curb.

had heresy II's in mid 80's (sold them, why?). haven't expeirienced as sound as good until spring 2009 with khorns. obviously, i love horns! i know that doesn't help too much other than get either pair and enjoy..
