I loved the Pioneer VSX-D1S, actually used one with my (ex)Khorns in 93 way back then, but settled on the DSX-9900S instead, Pioneer built beasts back then...oh yes....Marantz Reference would run em today...[]

Congrats and Welcome, I have had my Marantz Reference SR18EX for a couple of years now powering my Klipsch Heritage, sweet piece, oh yes...[] To add, the SR9600 doesn't even come close, this A\V Receiver is a true BEAST for it's time...simple....

Actually, it goes to a SVS thread a few eons ago on here, that spread and the next issue was, a whole "klipsch" column on the forum board was dedicated to SVS on subwoofers...question was, who's forum is this.... sweet, I was\am using a KLFC7 with my vintage Khorns upfront(not what you hear about timber matching), but now with my LaScala's and Hersey II's for rears, and sounds great, the Academy is a nice piece...[] Sub is Velodyne, the beast of choice...

Just sold my Khorns as the original owner(93), miss the girls, but a proud owner of my first tube amp, and McIntosh owner, in the new MC275 to power my Scala's...you know what, go for it, I know the guy who bought mine(soon to be a member here) he will take care of them, that counts to me. I had NO room and they sat...and sat....sat....flipped.....sat..... they are babes, if you get the chance and price for Khorns...do it.....[] PS. He drove 10+ hrs return to get them.....
