Klipsch Empire *** The Khorn-Belle Combo Creation

I beg to differ gentlemen, more like a robot from the late 40's. Now we need to have a beauty contest between these and the "Warthogs". -
Trailers can offer a fairly bumpy ride. When I move large delicate things, sometimes, I take one of those large inflatable beds and place it in the bed of a truck or trailer, place rigid insulation, and blankets, around the item, and then inflate. It sounds odd but works great. I find that only inflating partially works best. Great find on the horns, and post lots of pics!!! Good Luck!!!

12 yr old Abby Miller sings Barracuda youtube

I still don't know how someone that small can have such a big voice??? It is also nice to hear the absence of vibrato that many younger female vocalist seem to strive for. -
Was peeking in on the home theatre thread about american idol, never watched more than 5 minutes of the show, looked at the video link that was posted, and it reminded me of a link on another forum. This girl can sing, not my favorite song, but worth a listen. if someone could post a link for me it would make it easier. Thanks

Yes, turntable plinths! You guys see the Klipsch? Thanks Fini, some pretty hefty vintage "plinths" at a regular store no less. My guess as far as what is a klipsch speaker, I would say either the speaker furthest to the left in either picture #2 or 3# ? -

What an awesome piece of history and a reminder of perhaps more gentle times. Maybe if forum members can add to this thread??? It can become a dedicated thread. I think regardless of generation, these type of pictures speak volumes to all. Thanks for sharing!!! -
Thanks Greg and all once again.........

I was wondering if the forum could pass on some advice. I tested my wall outlets and I'am getting readings between 123 and 124.5, this seems to be a little high, and I dont want to damage my recently reconditioned tube amp. The sams photofact recommends 105 to 120 volts. Would I be best served by using a variac or and adjustable voltage power conditioner to solve this problem. Or should I not worry about it? Thanks for any help!

I like this stuff, thanks for the post, made me think of one, for the use of something cheese-y I saw on TV. How about flexsseal on metal horns?
-
I agree my 50 yr old tube amp is almost completly silent even if you stick your head in the horn

Nice find I have read alot about Altec a-7's over on the altec board and in other places. The consensus seems to be, use 416's if you can find them and original Altec drivers. Also many say that in these type of cabinets, these speakers dont go that low, and an equalizer will help alot. If you find that you like the Altec sound at all? Spend the time dialing them in which can be labor intensive, but well worth it. Unlike the Klipsch speakers I have heard which always sound good Altecs are a little different.

Great for you RICK....... meeting forum members is great! I met Wuzzer after a purchase I made from him, it was a good time!!!!! I thank him often in my head...... I read about chip amps and how good they can be, from his and others posts. Purchased one from him that he kindly delivered and set up for me. Thanks Wuzzer !!! After hearing the sound, I was on a path to a little more powerful one, that I found, and it sounds fantastic. Lets face it, it is all about people!!! 8 yrs is too long RICK!!!! THIS POST WAS EDITED DUE TO A SENIOR MOMENT -
