  1. Seb, Are you saying that the RF3II in cherry can be ordered from your store? BogG, are they going to be available in cherry soon? And if so, will they cost more? (they shouldn't) ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  2. My local dealer Has RF3's for $649 a pair CDN. Not bad. However, when I saw them the cones were dented. My friend went there a while ago, and said they were fine. If I buy, I might not get warrenty papers. Does that mean Klipsch can't fix any problems? Thanks ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  3. I agree with Justin ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  4. feet/cones, or feet "and" cones? Are they real Klipsch speakers? Where would that cone go? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  5. Many here in the 2 ch. area don't like the new klipsch. If they old stuff was so good, why can't you buy it? Someone with Khorns, cornwalls, ext. Think you can say some of the good points to RB5's or RF3's? I would like to here em', and know what you would consider to get in the new klipsch line with a good amp. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  6. Don't worry, Im young to! I also have a sony mini system. I didn't get surround sound, because with mass market junk like that, surround sound is BAD. If I were you, I would save. save, and save. Im in gr.10. I'v been saving for quite a while. (still need more, $1400 not enough) Amps in something like that are really bad. I baught RB5's and hooked them up for a couple days. Well, although it sounded better then the Bose 5.1, or even pro media, It wouln't cut it. The sony is allright. It is impressive for $400. Lots of bass with those, "dule hybrid woffer's" lol. Boomy mid bass, and rattling "sub" bass. But for that kind of money, and a ALL IN ONE system, for a kid, it's better then most. Remember, the amount on this forum with Khorns, is high. RF7's, cornwalls, RB5's rf3, synergy. They will look down on your set up, as would I. As long as you KNOW that it's not as good as Bryston/RB5 combo, your allright. I think your doing pretty good. DONT buy without researching first when you do upgrade...I once baught a nuance sub. PS. I would say you need a new TV with at LEAST an AV input. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  7. EAR! You said you would rather have a Servo 15 over a RSW 15. Right? Isn't there a really BIG price diffrence? I have heard people say the servo 15 MSRP $1500 CDN. Isn't the RSW 15 well over 3 grand? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  8. I have never been to a "tweeter". I know at the stores here, kids come threw and punch in cones, scratch stuff, and other such crap. RF3's are going for 650 CDN here!!!! ya, but the cones are GONE. My guess is that some one messed up the price tags. Anyway, down there in the sates, shouldn't the RF3II's go for 850, and the old ones for 800? I think it was a mistake ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  9. SB3's sound good. SF1's are good to. Same tweeter. The SB3's look a little nicer. If it was me, I wouldn't upgrade to the same. I'd wait and get refrence series. SB3's to the back! Your sb3/ksw 12 should be just fine ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  10. Why can't we have them? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  11. Ear, are the subs you mentioned in the same price range as the servo 15? thanks, Also, is they Carver Nightshadow any good? In term's of sound, are there better subs for the money, from paradigm, klipsch? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  12. Is there anyway to get one in Canada? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  13. Good movie. Saw it in the theatre, rented it once. Not one to buy though. ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  14. After you find the best placement, (there are lots of threds for that) Liston to music, (or movies with Quints) and play with the settings. With such small mains, try crossing the sub over at 80-85HZ? Make sure the gain is low enough that you don't get a really boomy sound. When subs like that are cut high, they tend to do that lots. As for the connection, monster is probibly right. Have you tried it yet? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  15. Will the RB5 play loud? I baught them, and had them for a while. The were hooked up to a piece of garbag amp, and didn't sound to good. However, even though the amp was bad, they were one of the most dynamic speakers I have ever heard. This is very good for movies. The RF3's are louder, right? Is that cuz of they extra mid-bass driver? ------------------ Matthew Klipsch Rocks
  16. The driver looks very much like that of their car audio sub's. On their web site, their sub's look great for the money. However, according to review's of their home sub's, I can understand why it is for sale. It will probibly die right after you buy it. Audioreview.com had their top end sub, and it did poorly. ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
  17. DeanG: quote: none of your business Yeah. For all you know DeanG might be a woman. ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
  18. http://www.extralargetv.com/page3.html I found a link that claims that they can show you how to make a small TV into a big screen. How? ------ Im not about to order it, so if anyone knows anything about it, or how to do it, it would be great to know. If it would work at all, Id try it! Thanks This message has been edited by matthew2 on 02-14-2002 at 08:17 PM
  19. I like the new metallica. S&M is probibly the best album. It has new and old. And sounds great to me. -the old metallica, I think that "Master of.p." rocks. However, I do not think metallica has lost anything. I love their new stuff. And there it varioty with their new CD's. "Carpe Diem Baby" VS "Nothing else matters" Both newer Metallica, very diffrent songs. Love em' both. -------------------- Lincon park is the worst CD I'v heard. It's like the sound that you get when you tape a CD at to high of a recording level. Garbage! When will record companies start doing a good job? With things like SACD, shouldn't music be recorded awsome? AND re-recorded for SACD? (remastered) It makes me mad when I here stuff like the new Ozzy CD. Sounds bad! There should be a law or something! Thanks, Matthew
  20. All metallica CD's before the black album were really bad! Harsh, no bass. The band fixed their recording's in 1990, which is good because now you can at least here James Voice! Bass, guitar, everything. ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch

    Sealed

I would use a sealed sub for music. Anyone else have an opinion? ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
  22. oogins, how much did it cost for the SVS after the exchange rates/shipping? ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch

    Sealed

Would it be a good idea to have a sealed subwoofer, with ported mains. (RF3, RB5, ect) Would it sound weird? THANKS, ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
  24. I have read that if you build your own sub, or buy a passive sub, (SVS) then you can use an old stero reciever/amp to power it. Is that true? What about crossover, or problems with frequency's to high for the driver? How could you control anything but volume? ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
  25. Are their dealers for SVS? Or do you have to order direct. Are their prices in Americian dollers? APPLEBITE, way off topic but I noticed your setup..Mabey you should switch the Nuance's and RB3's around. ------------------ Matthew Gatta' love klipsch
