  1. I'm not saying that. But they give no other input spec? Like headroom above 2 volts? How do you know you are clipping its input? Is this it? https://www.minidsp.com/products/minidsp-in-a-box/minidsp-2x4?lang=en&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9-_n17mC4QIVZCCtBh0G6wX4EAQYAiABEgL79PD_BwE
  2. Why not? The Japanese do (or did) things like this all the time. Not trying to pick a fight or challenge your expertise. The original saying "parts is parts" came from Japan
  3. You're Donmark from Denmark? I like it
  4. Looks like it would depend on what the numbered terminals in the "D" were labeled. I mean which is + and which is - Why did you not hear it while demo'ing? Noiser ambient environment? Or just excited about possibly scoring Heresy's
  5. Is the input impedance/resistance spec'd so we can build Emile an attenuator?
  6. That Pre amp has + and - 37 volt rails so it can put out the 20 Vrms that is spec'd. That is a LOT of output signal capability like +28 dBu. If you want to use more of the volume control you will have to attenuate that pre amp output signal. Yes it is true most power amps will drive rated output with only 1 or 2 volts input. That is with the gain controls fully clockwise. If there are no gain controls it is expected that the source/pre amp does all the volume adjusting. If you intend to drive a miniDSP with 2 volt max input with that Pre amp it is going to be tricky. I have no hands on experience with miniDSP units, but 2V max input? Perhaps someone with experience with miniDSP will jump in.
  7. Yea but the power from a Boulder will be real true RMS continuous power, not make believe peak program music watts. And you WILL pay for it.
  8. It CAN be explained. It involves science and electrical engineering
  9. I still thinkin' 'bout Peach Moonshine.....MMmmmmmmm......
  10. Yes I did with no luck on my own. They asked for S/N of my 2 way Jubes and would not sell me the 510 the make it a 3 way. Perhaps if one orders the whole assembly that would be OK? But I have several pairs of drivers already and do not want to pay for another set that may or may not end up being used. Luckily I had a french(dutch) connection and was able to procure a pair.
  11. Did he say something like "this is Texas boy, take them communist ideas someplace else"
  12. Hey where's @Westcoastdrums ? On his honeymoon? If so, Congratulations young man!
  13. Just curious, is this calendar days or work days? I mean are you including weekends?
  14. When wires are unrolled and flattened out to put on PCB they take on other magical qualities. Ohm's law is a thing of the past, totally passe.
  15. MUST be made in Germany, even though the Germans out source all their stuff to China just like us.
  16. I have a curious thought. What if we eliminate all or a lot of the wires and instead put them on a new fangled thingy called a "printed circuit board" IS that a good thing or a bad thing?

so methinks you better try this @Trey Cannon I tried recently and got no response from him, but it is the only chance we have that he will be alerted. Unless of course you have his email address or phone #
  18. Cognito sum ergo sum cognito. But anyway, I do not think capacitors store energy in an electric field I KNOW they do. And inductors store energy in a magnetic field. It's called electronic engineering. The dimes worth of difference is a quote from PWK.
  19. Ooh,ooh,...... I know this one....convert electrical energy to acoustic energy
  20. This thread reminds me of a Rush song....everybody needs a soft filter, everybody needs reverse polarity.
  21. Actually caps store energy in an electric field, inductors in a magnetic field, but yea it won't make a dimes worth of difference.

    @seti who you screaming at?
  23. Yea @Tarheel is the backdoor man.
  24. Ah c'mon ya tease. Let's see the fronts
