  1. slightly politely. I pm'd you cuz I thought you were joking. Plus if I bought it I could see those new(to you) Rosewood Ks
  2. For Reals? what's the tongue out emoticon mean in this case: NOT?
  3. MG, To clarify on measuring the bias, I am talking about the voltages that are called out in the little square boxes above the schematic.
  4. double on Fastlane Audio tractix horn lenses. The contrac tweeter is darn good. Have not gotten a chance to audition the eliptrac tweeter yet. I miss Dave here on the forum, he was/is one of the good guys
  5. ok so any 2 prong cable will work. Polarized will only plug in one way, non polarized either way. But even on the non polarized cable you can figure out which wire is neutral and which is hot and plug it accordingly.
  6. Do you mean 3 prong grounded plug or just 2 prong but with one blade bigger than the other? If it is 2 prong non polarized you can always just flip it over.
  7. One more total solar eclipse. I've seen 4 during my life here on earth. One totally clouded over--Boo, but the other 3 were spectacular. Was single at the time, heck I was a kid for the first 3, would love to see one more with my wife.
  8. But then NOTHING would get done. Oh yea what am I thinking--that would be a good thing
  9. . Isn't this what one has to pay if they want a K402? Unless of course they luck onto a used one?
  10. Larry, I answered your PM. "Missed it by that much" ---- Maxwell Smart
  11. which is whose? what the? the picture didn't come with the text. I meant which sink is yours and which is your better half's
  12. All milliohm meters are by necessity 4 wire but not all 4 wire meters are milliohm meters
  13. So basically this thing was toasted to a crackly crunch. Well good luck going forward. Sounds like you're covering all the bases. When you get all the parts you have found bad replaced check the bias voltages before you just apply signal and turn it up. If you're really curious about R629 and 30 you can unsolder one end and measure out of circuit.
  14. To make accurate sub 1 ohm measurements you need a 4 wire meter. Usually only benchtop ($$$) meters have this capability. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-terminal_sensing
  15. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/161495-you-were-all-right-about-the-tads-and-the-402/page-2 Think this it at post #22 And yes this is what my post suggesting we get them from the Chief was refering to. I think there were a bunch of us wanting to get on that bandwagon

    What I Got Today!

Dude you might want to return those, they look broken. Oh don't worry they will get broken, and then Oakley will say "sorry no parts available" " buy whole new one different model" Oakley SUCKS
  17. From who Chris?? How's 'bout from you Chief?
  18. Cool-- If the first one does get fixed this way I would still press the point that it appears to be a design flaw that THEY should cover. I mean it is not like you damaged the amp. It has always done this. But I'm a d%$k about this kind of stuff.
  19. Ok, then it sounds like there is a design flaw in the amp as "Zim" stated. Like you need a relay on the amp outputs that you turn on after the amp has stabilized and turn off before you turn off the amp. That would suck. IMHO.
  20. Thanks Chris, No K77s hooked up here presently, although I could go back to them Currently have B and C DE38s on Contrac horns. Also have DE120s on Eliptrac tweeter lenses that I have not even tried yet.
  21. I don't know if there is a design flaw in these amps or not, Bryston should and they should 'fess up and fix for you if so IMHO. But as a general rule in systems with with separate preamps, processors, mixers etc... and power amps: Power amps are turned ON LAST and turned OFF FIRST.
  22. MG, Definitely make sure none of the electrodes(emitter, base and collector) are contacting the heatsink. Have you also replaced TR609 and 611?
  23. Opening this old thread because I'm just starting to venture into triamping my 2 channel set up. I've got the Yamaha SP- 2060 but only one amp so far. I have Khorns and La Scalas with various horn and driver modifications and ALK ES crossovers. Triamping seems to be the next step into this insanity(hobby). But I have a question that is causing me confusion. So Heyser measured the bass horn of the KHorn to be 8.4 mS behind (delayed) the tweeter? So to remedy the tweeter is delayed 6 mS more by Greg? And Chris suggests trying the full 8.4 mS. Am I thinking backwards? And while I'm here a BIG THANK YOU to Greg for "publishing" his settings for the KHorn.
  24. And what I.C.Opamps do you favor/suggest? ---Sorry for opening this old thread
  25. That's a beautiful story. It reminds me of when it rains it's God crying, probably because of something I did. God only cried once. When his friend Lazarus died
