    What I Got Today!

My Ultras got some company. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That’s a very good deal on a great center! That is one of Denon’s entry range receivers but it should still perform quite well in most rooms. I would just get it all set up, properly calibrated and let your ears tell you if it will be enough. I imagine you will have a better system than 98.5% of the population. I will warn you though, it starts getting terribly expensive trying to chase after the other 1.5%..
  3. That receiver is a beast. Congratulations!
  4. Congratulations! Still kick myself for selling my naturals. I have too many audio wants, not enough $$$:) Glad these ended up with a forum member!
  5. I think the Series II added Monster wiring but I am not sure about anything else. I know they sounds very similar so I would jump on it, if it a good deal.
  6. I would have no issues pairing RF-62’s with the 450C and I have owned both. They will look different so as long as that doesn’t bother you, that’s probably the way I would go if I were in your shoes. I also used the RC-62 and the original RC-64 with my RF-62’s, all of which blended very well.
  7. Never looks good to call a person out on a mistake, only to make a similar mistake in the process. Haha!
  8. Let’s not bash the guy for posting. Haha It sounds like a good amp, based off the few reviews available online. Here is one of those reviews: Trust me when I say you have to here it to believe it. Insane quality is the first thing you will notice, just what you can expect, and more from monster. very heavy at 75 lbs. This amp. gives an incredible distinct sound of cinematic realism. Rated at 150w. per ch. (very conservatively). The best part about this amp. besides the quality build and amazing sound, is the price. If you search hard enough you can find one of these babies for under 2k. The retaiI is $3499 which is still a bargain, considering this amp sounds as good, if not better than anything valued at over 6 grand. The bottom line; is in the first sentence of this review. I will never sell this amp I got it on ebay for $1750. in 05' Monster is the best stuff out their for the price. The 2 ch. stereo sound is incredible ( coming from a 5ch amp.) Demo this amp before you buy! Yes, the was he spelled hear “here” removes some of the creditably but he seems pleased.. I am not shopping though. I will just keep my B&K 200.7 S2 for the time being 😬
  9. Not sure where you are located but I believe Fry’s had a deal for the 82’s just recently. Think they were around $250 ea?
  10. Upgrading the center and subwoofer is the path I recommend, if you are looking for the biggest $$$/performance improvements. Once you have the speakers and subwoofer where you like them, then you should think about adding a power amplifier into the mix.
  11. That is the LED Lighting I use behind my 65” Samsung QLED TV. I haven’t turned it off, since purchasing it a couple months ago. Money well spent!
  12. I believe the RC-35 was replaced by the RC-62 which is a very good center channel. I have alwasy been a fan of the reference 6” speakers though, they seem to have a fantastic performance/$$$ ratio.
  13. That receiver will be plenty for those speakers, in most sized rooms. That receiver had very good bench test results.
  14. If you made a thread like this, you are likely to always wonder.. I always say get the best center possible, if you have the room.
  15. How big is the room and do you mainly use this system for music or movies? If the 15 can be placed in the ideal spot in the room, I would imagine that it would outperform the dual 12’s. Dual 12’s will likely have more even bass response but the 15 should definitely dig deeper. I am a big dual sub fan but I would almost always take the single, larger/better sub over less expensive dual subs especially if movies are your primary focus. Besides, you can always add another 15 down the road. It’s only money..
  16. I actually don’t have anything that I need this year, for once! I might get a little squirmy as Christmas approaches and all my shopping is done though. Time will tell.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Love the optimism! Is that the same thinking that went into you buying a Hellcat? Haha
  18. The RC-62 is a great speaker but the RC-7 is supposed to be in a different league. I have never had the opportunity to own the RC-7 but I have owned a couple RC-62’s, a RC-64 and a few other Klipsch centers. From what most members here say about the RC-7, it is supposed to be one of the best centers Klipsch ever made. With all all of that said, the RC-64 is supposed to “match” more with your 82’s. I would probably find deals on both, A/B test them side by side and sell off the one that loses the shootout. I am a bit of a nut though🤪
  19. I used a beefy B&K with 160M’s a while back and think you will be very pleased with the Adcom 600M combo. Like mentioned above, as long as you aren’t trying to fill an auditorium sized room, you should be totally fine. Klipsch speakers are pretty sensitive but that definitely doesn’t mean they don’t like power..
  20. Do you have the room for another 82 as a center?
  21. If you are around the Seattle area, I might be inclined to take those RF-63’s off your hands:)
  22. Good deal, either way if you ask me. Might even be a little fun project. Can we all settle on realistic price?
  23. Yes, it will run cooler, the more strain you take off the internal amps. I would highly recommend picking one or two of these up, if you are worried about heat like me: https://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-Front-Exhaust-Receivers-Components/dp/B078PQJSRY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542515984&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=ac+infinity+fan&dpPl=1&dpID=31-UUqu8CwL&ref=plSrch I love mine!
  24. Had no clue you could come close to that price for new Heresy III. I have purchased quite a few RP Series speakers from Cory but never any of the Heritage lineup. Good to know!
