  1. your gear is cutting edge , Ditto for .......... A/B the tube and SS amps with the Palladiums. ---
  2. very good deal -----welcome to the forum -GLWS
  3. Bruce , , I hear you , with the hydro bills we pay , solar would be a breeze , once solar panels are more efficient in the cold , I''ll have them --
  4. All the Best -Happy Birthday -Paisan babadono
  5. Natural gas ------no such luck ---ONAN Diesel -
  6. Solar is tricky in the Northern areas - I am not sure the investment would be worth it with the snow and ice , and headaches ---but -a permanent diesel or gas generator with a transfer switch 👌
  7. --Congratulations --- the 75-90 wpc tubes MC275 will be great with the P39F ---and even more so if the MC275 is a Mark V or VI-
  8. here is what the AK-5 Network looks like ------2 sections -LF-HF --the crossover of a 2005-2019 Khorn --
  9. get a builder to pour a slab , no basement and dump a double wide onto the slab ---easy and less stress
  10. there sole difference with the K77F and the k77 M -was the lense - both tweeters share the same diaphragm /magnet-/cup /screws -
  11. the AK-5 crossover was the last klipsch crossover for the k-horn that used the k-77 -
  12. I stand corrected --the AK-5 ------slip up here LS2 --long day on this end -
  13. you may have a DeanG AA ------still an AA --but with better quality caps ----The AK-5 crossovers are different since they allow biamping -bi wiring and the sound signature is modern --being there are also 2 separate crossover sections -----1 board for the LF , and a second for the HF --- a CW IV is a good option -at 6k$ ----------sell your khorns for 4k$ and that's it , lay out 2k$ ---3rd option would be an Active crossover , so bypassing the passive network , and that can make a huge difference
  14. you're better off looking for a pair of the klipsch LS2 crossovers which were the latest ones with the K77 --k55 - K33 which are the current drivers for the 72 Khorn ---now that would be like 40 years ahead in the sound due to more modern networks versus an AA or an A network which is old school sound -
  15. you can't compare a Palladium with a 72 Khorn ,a 2020 Cornwall IV sounds better than a 72 khorn ---- the Palladium were designed for the late Millenium so 2007 so 35 years ahead - now the new 2020 AK-6 which has the new Fabulous klipsch tweeter plus the new Crossover -----yeah , these are totally different - sealed backs -revised tweeter and electronics , better audio cabe --etc ----now these would be closer to what you're looking for
  16. yep , all k77 with the square magnet version whether it is written or not on the tweeter ,are the K77 M -----M means Mud magnet -Ferrite versus the round magnet that are Alnico --
  17. price is right through the roof for these diaphragms kits for the soldered cups --------the rest of the diaphragms without cups are all made in China , no matter from who you buy them from 12-13$ for a pair ------from china or 18$ a pop in the USA ----for US stocked items -
  18. the K55X is still used on the new 2021 lascala and k-horn -----12k$ and 15k$ -it's the same driver that you have with minor modifications -
  19. the new K-55X should be availalble from Klipsch parts -----what is wrong with your current mids drivers ---------diaphragms can be replaced as well
  20. did you have a chance to Audition any one of these amplifiers whether SS or Tubes -- the best SS amp , I currently like for the Heresy speakers is the Yamaha A-S 1200 series or 2200 , These are Analog -Old School , quite expensive , but built like Tanks --and they sound amazing with KLIPSCH speakers - https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/hifi_components/a-s1200/index.html
  21. we would need a picture of the tag or serial number , but based on what you stated --------these could be 1974 if the letter M is part of the serial number -
  22. WOW ------all that gear , understood , so unplugging the mini-fridge was the culprit - great if that was the only issue --
  23. so what kind of electronic equipment do you have close by , or in the same room -
