  1. That really sucks...hopefully it gets straightened out.
  2. Epics and a KV4 (or another Epic in the middle)...have not heard a reference speaker that I'd replace them with...and that includes the large reference.
  3. Looking to try something different, so letting go of my AKGs. Nice set of cans that sound great and are in very good shape. The only mark is a small scuff on the bottom of one side. Includes original box (in fair shape), manuals, cable, and screw on jack. Looking to get $150 obo shipped and PayPal included.
  4. Mine's pretty bad too...need to get back there and organize thing a bit, just never been high enough on the 'to do' list.
  5. That's awesome Mark...probably saw them as they went through different spots.
  6. Thanks guys! I only hope that when I hit 62 that I'm in half of the shape he's in. Always inspiring to watch these events. The athletes are unbelievable and the atmosphere is equally so.
  7. Unfortunately he injured his foot and had to drop out half way through the run. Count me a proud son nonetheless.
  8. In Boulder today to watch my dad compete in his 5th IronMan. Just an incredible event to watch and experience. 2900 athletes lined up this morning to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles. They started at 6:30 this morning and most won't finish until between 8-midnight tonight. Dad is through the bike and looking good to finish mid-evening. If you ever get a chance to watch...do it. Very awesome event to spectate.
  9. Come on Mpls peeps...help a forum brother out. If I were around, I would...scrappy is a great guy.
  10. You want to use surround, not surround back. Surround back would be for speakers directly behind you in a 7.x configuration.
  11. As Sancho mentioned, your local Craigslist will be a great resource in putting together a good system on a budget. Also, places like accessories4less will help you get a better bang for your buck on an AVR. Monoprice and Parts Express are really great for the wire, plugs, and everything else you need.
  12. We needed to keep my daughter busy yesterday while we worked on a couple projects. I turned on her music and gave her my headphones...it was great. Before long she was singing along, dancing, and finally playing with her dolls all to the music. I ended up spending almost as much time watching her do that as I did working on projects. Priceless.
  13. Yeah they're about $200-250ish around here. Maybe up to around $300 if they're minty.

    What I Got Today!

I'm gonna sound like an idiot here, but I've run my finger down the leather a few times already. Just a sweet added touch to the sides of them. They did a nice job in picking the materials and in the design. They should look nice...they were yours! Enjoy the Image Ones.
  16. Arrived yesterday in perfect shape. Packed to survive the trip and not a scratch on them or the box for that matter. Michael is great to work with and I'd highly recommend. Thank you sir!

    What I Got Today!

Actually arrived yesterday and I've been listening to them most of the morning. Really impressed so far. Nice full sound, comfortable fit, and a nice sleek look.
  18. Enjoy it...mine's almost 8 and luckily still likes to listen to music with Dad. She's actually become quite the expert in how to use my system also...much more so than my wife. That said, she was a lot more interested just a couple short years ago than she is now...so it really does go by fast.
  19. Guess I'll be one of the last testers then, got in over the weekend and just got notice that the test kit is shipping today. Looking forward to giving them a try!
  20. Favorite live performance would have to be the Foo Fighters back in the late '90s. They came through town promoting the Colour and Shape album and the show was awesome. They had 2 opening bands that night - the first was called Treble Charger...I never heard from them again, but they put on a great show that night also. Still the benchmark concert for me after nearly 20 years.
  21. I thought they were decent...and $120 is fair. As a computer, bedroom, or surround speaker, I think they'd do fine. I personally wasn't impressed enough with them to use for any more than that though.
