  1. apparently, you've never had a rodent problem...they are GOOD for that... Until you have a yard that smells like cat pee. Our neighbor has a bunch of feral cats and our fence smells like pee when ever the wind blows.
  2. Wait until you hear Pono... I heard it on a high end JTR setup and it was the best I have ever heard played back on a system.

It makes since that the option would be there as some forums require xxx amount of posts before they can post pictures. Another thing I have seen on some forums your posts have to be approved until you get to xxx number of posts. Iam assuming that either of these would mean that pms can also be restricted until you hit xxx number of posts.

Is that something we can do, or something the forum must do?
  5. I like this comment " both work and both need some work 1st is I think 1 of the woofers is blown "

    I got one too.
  7. Just curious... What bank is it that was giving you the problem with coins? If they are in my area I will avoid them.
  8. Here is a pair for around $1200 new... http://www.newaudiovideo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8354&zenid=97c586916030f64ac4e3da33011b46aa I would say if you can get the pair for $800 or less you are getting a good deal still.
  9. I think they would be good for the voice of god channels in the upcoming multi channel setups.
  10. I remember years ago when I was waiting for my amplifier... I had my La Scalas and my roommate had a boombox... We hooked them up to the headphone jack, and cranked them. Everyone in the dorm was coming over to find out who had the new king of the dorm stereo... Imagine the look on their faces when they saw the La Scalas being powered by a boombox! LOL
  11. last 6.1 anything i have seen was a dvd copy of triple "x" when i was like 17. id 75% of the blu rays i own are 5.1 and the other 25% (newer action flicks and pixar usually) are 7.1 tracks. Star Wars is 6.1
  12. You might want to try some Locktite on the threads to stop them from working their way out... Just make sure it is the blue and not the red, or you won't get them out without a torch. I am going to have my 1/4 pie bass bin right next to it and one of my DTS10 subs right on the other side of the bass bin. I like the idea of the metal strips though. Maybe I will head over to a surplus electronics place, and see what they have for a LAN rack for cheap. In my last house I bought a 7' tall 4 post rack with shelves for $100.
  13. Are you using metal rack shelves too? If not what are you using for shelves? If so do you have any vibration problems?
  14. We are planning on doing a rack for all of our equipment in our HT... The plan is to make a rack that sits at an angle on the left wall (of the AT screen), and build a 2x4 frame around it that will go from the floor to the ceiling and then make a frame for a door for the front access and cover the door, and the whole angled frame with acoustic fabric. We will still have access from the rear for connections etc. When you look at it it will just be black fabrics just like the masking of the screen.
  15. Why would it make a difference whether it was at the speaker terminals or the amp?
  16. Glad to be of service to you. Enjoy your new crossovers.
  17. Measure what you have and see if it fits.
  18. PM sent in return...
  19. Updated 1st post... Added Faital Drivers. I am willing to trade any of the above for EV DH1a 6 ohm drivers.
  20. My current wife had a pellet gun and she was loading it to shoot a bat that had got into the house... The pellet gun went off and hit my 47" flat panel! I know your pain.
  21. I hooked mine up to the sub out jack... What I did was hook up one sub and set my levels (from the back of the sub), then I unplugged that sub and plugged in another sub and set the levels on that one. I did this on each sub separately and the I used "Y" connectors to hook them all up. Once they were all hooked up I set my level with my AVP to the desired level. You can use a simple SPL meter to set them up.
  22. IMO, multiple subs will be better than a single sub for smoothing. I ran 5 subs years ago that were like $100 each and it sounded great even though it didn't go as deep as a $500 sub would have. My current setup is 2 subs (not hooked up yet as the HT is still under construction though.
