  1. I started my Nirvana exploration on a DVD of their MTV unplugged performance. The DVD mix is much superior to the CD. I've compared them back to back. It took me a while to reaclimate to the grunge rock of Nevermind, but now I can't get enough. Some folks say that the lyrics are nonsense, but they speak to me.
  2. Anyone still listen to Nirvana? I'd been seeking out an original release of the Nevermind CD for a few years now and finally found one. The drums, bass, and guitar are still fantastic!

  4. Looks fantastic! What'd you use to adhere the veneer?
  5. I'm sure there are good police out there, but the ones I've interacted with have generally behaved like high school bullies. The best suggestion I have is to be polite even when they're violating your rights. And for the record, I'm a middle aged white guy with a college degree.
  6. I've always wanted to go there and heard great things about it - does Husk live up to the hype? The food is very high-quality and they use fresh local ingredients, but the preparations are often very simple. For my money, I think there are better options in Charleston.
  7. Husk in Charleston usually has Pappy available...if you can find a seat at the bar.
  8. I may know where one is available...
  9. ^^ my wife gets platinum jewelry and I get regular old copper speaker wire...I'm ok with that.
  10. I'd be interested to know the sales volume of the RF-7 II vs. the heritage models. With the Palladium being discontinued, and if the RF-7 II's seemingly at the end of its product life, I hope that there's enough remaining Heritage production in Hope to keep all those folks busy.

Sweet! Makes that SVS in the background look rather tiny.

    Tweeters

Are you getting any sound out of the tweeters?
  20. That is impressive! I hope they don't blow your screen clear off the wall!
  21. Thought I'd add a pic that shows the difference between the DIYsoundgroup MDF (bottom layer) and the stuff you get from Lowes (top two layers). The DIYsoundgroup material is a much finer and denser grade.
  22. So it's taken me a loooooong time, but I've finally gotten the box built. Most of the time since my last post in this thread has been spent plotting how to veneer the box. The DIYsoundgroup sealed subwoofer boxes come with a round over on the baffle so I've had to cut a new square edged baffle. This involved buying a router and a sheet of MDF from Lowes. Since I was in the baffle building business I went ahead and created an extra that I've added to the box for three layers. I'm still planning to recess the driver once I've got the veneer applied to the baffle. The veneer will be cherry to match my speakers.
  23. Are you in the barrel club?
