OT: what kind of car does everyone have?
James RD replied to Rdmarsiii's topic in General Klipsch Info
I drive a Tundra on the streets. Around the house I prefer to tool around in my Schuco Examico 4001. -
Impressive. I really like the grain match.

A heartwarming tribute to Paul Parrot

A cage rattling tribute. -
The Phillips 963SA is a nice player (BTW, it does NOT play DVD-A). Good redbook and very good SACD performance. I also have a Cambridge Audio D500SE. Great value for the money. I would expect the more recent models to be at least as good.

I fear this may turn into a big flame war but I must ask
James RD replied to 007's topic in Home Theater
They're absolute junk. Stay away from them. Get something really cool, with a spoiler on top and ground effects. Don't waste your precious time with grandpa's crappy speakers! -
Why do you guys treat each other so badly?
James RD replied to cluless's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I think it's Roid Rage. These speakers are heavy. Amps are heavy. Many of us are gettin' old. We need to work out to lift all this stuff. And we need chemical helpers. -
I know this has come up before but my search yielded nothing. I am interested in using something like the Niles DPS-1 to switch amplification through my CWs. http://www.jandr.com/JRProductPage.process?RestartFlow=t&Section_Id=1&Product_Id=23405 Has anyone used this product? Would using this noticeably degrade the signal? This would be used with my Parasound SS and a Scott 222C. I already have another set of speaker wires that I switch for the Marantz. Any comments would be appreciated

Nearly = almost; not quite. At least he's gettin' close. -

I'm looking forward to Craig's daughter working on my 222C. Perhaps she will install those new "Hello Kitty" caps. I hear they have lots of vintage clarity. -
1975 Horizontal Decorator Cornwalls in Dallas on Ebay
James RD replied to wrench_peddler's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Very nice. But they are from 1973. -
It's not jazz, but I like her musical sensibilities. She doesn't aim for hit singles or the latest craze. I think she actually loves music. That, in itself, is refreshing.

The fellow's next upgrade should be for some furniture.

I am also curious. Is it possible that I am a "nub" and don't know it? Please enlighten the ignorant.

Just Another Day at the Factory, Long Ago

In the first picture the tool is either a brad nailer or a narrow gauge stapler. Great pics, BTW. -
Uh, N is 1975. P is 1976.

I've been following this one. Looks interesting. Any comments from NOSValves? BTW, the high bidder has a -1 rating. Couldn't be from this site.

This place reminds me of a giant internet pillow fight. Diana's voice got you down? Try the satisfying sounds of the great Art Van Damme. Nothing like a little accordion jazz to test the limits of your system. "Accordion A La Mode" or "Martini Time" will work as a primer.
