I just bought a Wyred 4 Sound ms 2 music server. It has about 4,500 albums loaded in FLAC. Got it on Audiogon and the music is legal. The clincher for me was that it was mostly jazz. Can't wait to hear it. Anyone have any experience with this unit? How about servers in general?

I had mine refreshed. I have not heard the replacements, but the originals with new caps are great.

You can pop the crossovers out and send them to Bob Crites for refreshing. Under $80. At this age, they should probably be updated anyway.

How about $625? It is a good tube preamp.

Neither of my Fortes are in corners and have great bass. Mine are on a hardwood floor and perhaps that makes a difference.

The issue is the price...$16,000. what's the issue? If it's MSRP or even a discounted MSRP and he's an authorized dealer, again, what's the issue? I am not sure there is no support. I think we are just throwing out ideas as to how best to follow up on the original idea. I do not know if Klipsch is a low wage employer, but assuming that they are, perhaps the best idea is to collect stuff during the year and present it next year at the picnic. That would ive us time to put gifts together and give it to employees during the luncheon. Just a thought

I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has a DacMagic Plus power supply for sale, please let me know. BTW, Cambridge Audio customer service leaves a great deal to be desired. This PSU has been recalled in Europe for problems with cracking, and when I wrote t them the best they could do was refer me to a dealer 300 miles away. Thanks

Of course, where you live makes a big difference. For example, Chicago seems to be a hot bed for sales (but that is only because Opus buys up everything.) GLWS
