  1. We who were in attendance all know that but then we made the time and effort to find out. Where is your corroborating measured evidence for the CW3 ODS since the spoken word and opinions are not sufficient. That is a two way street.
  2. There is hardly any good used Klipsch around period no matter what you have to spend right now.
  3. About these Cornwalls of yours ODS, have you done any actual analytical measurements of this in your sound room you care to share or is it your refined ear we are supposed to just believe in because you say so? That's what makes it fun and don't be so serious. Enjoy it for what it is.
  4. This may be true. Noted authority ODS123tells himself things and because he has stature it becomes predictable that he believes himself. Doesn't make him gullible it just makes him human. One SHOULD always consider the context for sure. On a lighter note and because sometimes I find humor in things I would like to present my ongoing durability torture test of wood. For over six months now this piece of Baltic Birch has rested on the ground through dry and wet, warm and cold while holding up my trailer tongue jack. It is finally showing some minor signs of degradation outside of discoloration.
  5. The small group in attendance PAID to be there to learn and listen to what Roy was willing to teach us. I would say every one there has owned high end Klipsch gear, which you have never even heard yet by the way, and most were builders of systems in addition to that so it would have been impossible to fool these guys. You would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable group of audiophiles with valid opinions than those in attendance there.
  6. You seriously mean that when the guy over Klipsch tech plugged all these into the same amp, same volume, same room and same music and then tell us we are having audible halucinations when we hear large differences between them? You are a very amusing individual in your smug assurance of being the only one with a valid opinion which easily supercedes those who have actually heard these under controlled conditions. I was one of those and all I can advise you is open mouth and insert foot on something you have NOT heard is not a good look.

    Altec A7's

    These are GONE!!
  8. 361,613 to be exact so I would imagine the scourge of pnuemonia and flu has been worse. One out of every 3,606 chance of death and one out of 706 chance of getting it if you would even know you had it as many seem to have very mild cases. Wonder what the average stats for Hamilton are for flu and pneumonia? I know your situation is different considering where you work so take walks in the daylight and vitamins D.
  9. Because they are front ported and work anywhere with no wall required would be my answer.
  10. Giles county population is 29485. 12 cases and no deaths. Where I live and love it.
  11. I absolutely agree with that.
  12. That's a fact. I had a guy tell me about a pair of La Scalas and the pictures looked good. I get out there and the pictures were from years ago and were they nasty. You just never know.
  13. Looking at projects I may never complete this week and I have some Altec A7's. With building new things and the arrival soon of yet another pile-o-Klipsch pro I need things of remote interest gone. I have the horns and good drivers for two, two bass bins that need the refinishing work finished and one in great shape as is with the woofer there also in great shape. The two that need work do not have good woofers and I have three or four woofers I had stripped and was going to send to great Plains Audio for rebuild. If there is interest I can get pictures but two of these are on a top rack and I have to move things around to get to it so please do not ask unless you are serious. A7's are the only thing other than Klipsch I will work on but I am getting more stuff in soon and I have just run out of space for projects I may never continue. Looking at $750.00 for the pile as is. That is the bottom price by the way. Listing this soon in CL too so if you are interested let me know.

Pick up only and if you are interested and willing to drive to 60 miles south of Nashville contact me and we can go from there.
  15. NO there is NO hope. I have a shop packed and getting more later this month and it is all big stuff. There is never enough. Good thing I have a set of pallet racks and a forklift.
  16. My favorite veneer speaker. Good luck on the hunt.
  17. You can never count on time and if you snooze you lose.
  18. The thought just occurred to me about perhaps reinforcing a horn with fiberglass and resin. As long as you are not trying to sell them so you don't have to worry about keeping them stock is that of possible benefit?
  19. They go pretty fast around here for good money and the ones priced stupid high stay for sale. This set has been listed for at least two months. I guess the guy looks a what new costs and bases his price on that. Three years ago $1,900 was a minimum of a thousand to high.
  20. Probably OSHA forced conditions not one of those OSHA people would tolerate. Years ago I had a choice to pick oilfield or learn TIG welding and food service. I chose food service.
  21. Of course UV protection is important but generally you can get away with a pair of sleeves just to protect your arms. In hot weather lots of clothing is pretty miserable. I learned to weld in Westwego at the Avondale Shipyard in New Orleans. 105 in the shade and humid. We were required to wear long sleeves because it would keep the little burns you get from slag and metal while welding from becoming infected by preventing you from getting them to begin with.
  22. Ground Zero for sure. Dementia and Alzheimers are two of the ugliest things out there. Mom died from Alzheimers and before she passed looked like an Auschwitz prisoner.
  23. Did you see the picture of the beach all those people were forbidden to use in Virginia? It was flooded with people. I think this will happen everywhere this coming weekend.
  24. Patients in assisted care? I have not talked to anyone working in those facilities around here but yes if anyone would know them it would be those who work there.
