  1. "I really like the look of the (4) Klipsch RSW-15's between the LaScala Trio." First of all, I really like this thread, It's an inspiration on so many different levels. Home theater design, Klipsch speakers, woodworking, personal relationships, and on and on. Second of all, my inner snarkiness just can't help but chuckle at the quote above. Aren't these speakers behind a screen? Thanks for sharing, Mark
  2. I did get to hear his La Scalas. I hope one day to invite him to my place to give mine a listen. Mark
  3. Which of Dean's crossover did you go with?Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk It's a modified AA with the 2 dB attenuation to the mid-range. Not sure it has a name or model. Bought it and a set of solder lug k55 from Dean. Got to meet him too. We work near each other is the Dayton, OH area.
  4. My Faslane La Scala horns ship tomorrow. Getting excited to hear them with the Fastlane tweeters I installed last fall along with a pair of Dean's x-overs. Dave and Dean are great people to deal with. Mark
  5. Rest in Peace Ms. Valerie. We will all think of your and your Paul the next time we listen to our Klipsch systems. God Bless, Mark
  6. I thought this was a German name? One of the streets driving to Parts Express in Springboro, OH is named "Sharts Rd." Last time i picked up stuff at Parts Express I almost sharted from laughing so hard at that street name. BTW, I like ICE ICE Baby for the name of said ice breaker. Mark
  7. My Dad only wanted to raise my posterior to someplace between my ears.. Mark
  8. Go for it!!! And please give us a full report. I've been wanting to press the Buy button for a Decware amp. For me, my La Scalas are in the garage so having tube amps survive that environment has made me hesitate. Best of luck. Hard to go wrong with the in home demo option. Mark
  9. Hard to tell but those look like the Fiberglas sprayed version to me. At that price, go get them now. My wife and I really enjoy our pair of splits. Mark
  10. That's not a bike, that's a "room treatment".... Mark
  11. Well if you have two cars why not two Harleys? JJK I'd have to build another garage. One for the Harleys and one for the cars. The stereo goes with the Harleys. Mark
  12. "I just hope you never hear this from your wife: "Honey, I pulled the car in yesterday and came in a little far.... I told you you needed to put a tennis ball from the ceiling so I would know... anyway, um i dont think they got damaged too bad, you can repaint them right???" " That's why I move them back to the rear wall when the garage is in "parking mode" !! I'm more worried about her ramming the Harley than the speakers. Fixing speakers is cheap by comparison. Mark
  13. My dedicated stereo room is the garage. Roughly 24'W x 24'L x 10'H. The La Scalas are about 4' into the room and 4' from the side walls. Lots of clutter along the walls and overhead to stop the music from reflecting to the listening area. Do 2 10' long plastic kayaks hanging overhead count as a bass trap? Mark
  14. Officially, Pissing off the neighbors.... We live in a quiet neighborhood... Mark
  15. Which way is "outside?" I'm south of Canton (go Bluecoats ) by about two hours on I-77, just past Marietta. Does it matter as long as it's "outside" Canton? Mark I'm in redneck country too but that's the way, uh hu uh hu I like it. Me too!! Nothing quite like it. Mark

  17. Yes it runs, quite nicely, I might add (I might have modified it a little). The garage is a mess. Time to renovate. Mark
  18. No that's a stain left over from the previous homeowner. I think it looks like Italy so i haven't erased it. Mark
  19. Speaking of rednecks, my daughter is going to attend UT in Knoxville for the next three years for grad school. Maybe we can meet each other some time. Mark
  20. But you are absolutely right. I'm a redneck through and through. Mark
  21. I'm in southern Ohio about 30 miles east of downtown Cincinnati. A little town named Fayetteville. You're welcome to visit anytime you like. PM me for my phone number. I'd love to get a set of Jub bass bins made. If I can help in any way let me know. Mark
  22. Welcome to the forum. The Chorus are very fine speakers. Enjoy yourself. Hang on to your wallet as best you can. There are those here that are more than happy to help you yearn for better. Mark
  23. I'm planning to build a F20 sub later this spring. It will go where the Harley is sitting now. Your F20 build is my inspiration. I'm waiting for a pair of Fastlane Audio's La Scala horns to ship and will move the tweeters on top of the mid range cabinets to better time align them with the mids. Not running anything fancy from a gear point of view. Macbook pro running Audirvana Plus. Emotiva XDA-2 pre-amp with DAC and a Emotiva XPA-200 amp. I also have Fastlane's tweeters and DeanG crossovers to match the solder lug K55V mid drivers. This will do until I get some Jubilees! And how does it sound now? Pretty damn good. Mark
  24. Earlier than I ever expected the garage system starts to rock 2016. Thank God that ground hog saw his shadow!! Mark
  25. OK, good luck. I want to get a set of Khorns this year but I'm not over paying because I know I'll go nuts upgrading them.
