I want to turn the vault right around as my shortest drive time will be around 4 hours. Are you out there Fini? . . . Audible? . . . Bueller?, Bueller? . . . anyone? Thanx to all in advance, LEEROY
  12. I have used CAT-5 computer wire to run my side wurrounds and rear center and it seems to work just fine for me. Just another "coat hanger" testimony, I guess!
  13. A new artist and new concert: JOHN MAYER Any Given Thursday Excellent upcoming artist - this video shows off his songwriting and guitar work, bordering on virtuoso. Hope he heads in a more bluesy direction.
  14. My "NEEDLE" in the haystack was my curent rear center. Academys were hard to find, let alone buy. I waded through countless e-Bay pages and was tired of finding the "true sound" way out my price range - to the tune of nearly $600 at times. I did a Google search that produced a short list of e-mail addresses of possible owners, from bulletin boards to on-line garage sales. I got a reply back with a phone number. I called back and found that one owner who still did have one stashed in a closet that he really had no use for after upgrades. He said he would part with it . . . . I did not offer, but asked what he might want for it (with my heart in my throat), I was met with . . . . . . . . . how does $75.00 sound . . . . , . . . . that is, if I would pick up the shipping!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Houses really do need higher ceilings at times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEEROY
  15. I have used twisted CAT-5 computer wire for runs of over 50' and it sounds great with what I run. GOOD LUCK! LEEROY
  16. I have an Academy on my MITS 55" and it sounds great from about 12' as is. You have got to think about placing a glass top on your TV though, the weight of the Academy over time will make the partical board of the MITS sag and warp. The glass will help spread the weight out evenly. I got a great smoked glass top for around $70 at a car glass replacement center, and it looks great as well as being functional. GOOD LUCK! LEEROY
  17. KEEPIN' THE BLUES ALIVE! Great lists for my favorite artist that drew me into the BLUES! CHECK OUT MY AVITAR PICTURE OF AN SRV PIECE OF ART!!!!!!! Chris Duarte - Texas Sugar Strat Magik (?) Ronnie Earl - (a true guitar virtuoso, great JAZZ also) look for his Live disc from Germany(?), I can't remember the title
  18. JK - WELCOME! I bought my S-6's and a C-6 from this fellow and was offered a pair of 400's for $900. I think he was from the Baltimore area. He had shipping issues - no boxes, etc. I live in Cedar Rapids, IA, just a bit too far for a weekend drive or they also would have ended up in my growing collection. His address : pkanchanavatee@hotmail.com GOOD LUCK
  19. I have a single Forte I in walnut if anyone might be interested. If there is interest, I have the next couple of days off and can see if I can muster up some pics. Let me know! luckyleeroy@hotmail.com
