Looks like you need a center channel speaker before you get another amp or receiver. But if you just want more power you could look into a 2 channel outboard amp if your receiver has pre outs.

If you have a crt based display the above is true. If you have a digital display then the signal stays digital.

This depends greatly on the source component and the receiver/pre pro. You have to experiment to hear which way sounds better in a given system.

In your case hiring a dealer certified to set up the Klipsch THX system would be the best way to go. They will do things that Avia can't do as said by soundbroker.

That was the tactics of a typical bully/punk father. Not a life lesson to toughen up a kid, just something to terrify him and ridicule him. If someone did this to my daughter they would spend the remainder of thier days in a vegetative state. radio paradise is awesome, been listening to them for a year or so. Indie airplay and indie band radio are very good too. Soma fm also has a lot of great channels.

SVS pb ultra or pb ultra 2

RS3, RS3-II, and RS 35s are matches for your speakers. Don't know about the new Ref series.

I'm very happy with mine. But like nicholtl said, there's always room for improvement. Later this year I'm going to try out a SVS pc ultra. And if I had a big enough room the RS7s would be replaced with RF7s.

B&K Ref, Sunfire, and Rotel are all real popular with RF7 owners on the forum. I use a B&K Ref 200.5 with great results.

I'm not trieing to spend his money. He also asked about subs. It was stated that the difference between 12" subs was negligible and that to make a difference he needed to go to a 15" or 18" sub. This just isn't the case. He will notice a difference between the subs he asked about. How the poster ultimatly spends his money is up to him. I just wanted to make sure he is well informed.

THX is a certification. There are different levels of certification, ie select and ultra. A THX receiver will have THX post processing that can be applied/overlayed over Dolby and DTS. I've been using the THX music setting with my multi channel SACDs/DVDAs. It works really well with multi channel music to my suprise.

If he went to a SVS PC Ultra he would be blown away and it would be a major difference. And saying one 12 is not much different from any other 12 is very wrong. Or everyone would have the cheap Sony 12 and be done with it and SVS would be out of business. So on this particular matter you are mistaken. I do agree he should pick out his speakers first, but he did ask about the subs also.
