  1. I see so many, they must not be married.
  2. I run my audyssey but when I use it I chose the "Flat" setting. Just for TV and Movies.
  3. The RP's have completely different drivers, construction and Quality. The RP's are superior to the R's in every way. I'm running a pair of the 160's as my center channel. They sound very nice. RP's over the R series everyday.
  4. Heritage Klipsch never have Bent Cones. Look here for new drivers, Speaker Exchange Speaker repair, replacement, recone, refoam (reconingspeakers.com)
  5. The Klipsch Horn Lamp Fails the WAF at my house.
  6. So I bought a pair of RP-160M's, nice bookie. I moved these into the Main Speaker spot and use my Tektons as the Center with the F20's as surrounds. As some of you know, I always advocate for the best speakers as yer center channel. I really like this set up. The sound is Much Cleaner because the "Boom" is gone. The four woofers in the Tekton cover the low end very well and since in HT the mains ans surrounds are basically effect channels the Klipsch do an outstanding job. there is more Tone in the sound than Boom, more realism. I have the 160M's sitting on top of the Pendragons. Everyone in the house agrees that the sound is better.
  7. I have a couple of expensive pieces. The rest is not hard to replace. The trouble around here is unloading any audio gear, it's very hard to do. I gave a pair of speakers to a friend just to get them out of the house.
  8. Also, Wal-Mart sells those new hearing aides for about $600.
  9. Gorilla and Loc-tite make pro glues that will hold anything. I'd use these before super glue.
  10. Do Not let the AVR set yer levels. Set the center channel volume, set it to what you normally listen at. Then set the other channels while watching something that has sound effects, such as explosions and movies you like. It's the center you listen too the Most. That's the Main Channel. After it's set, Then set the others. That's why you want the center to be a Very High Quality Speaker. The others are mainly sound effect channels. Instead of turning the center Up,Up,Up, Turn the other channels Down.
  11. Hahahaha. Too Bad. It's Fab, Super. Rad, Groovy, Excellent. My system sounds Blah.
  12. In a Video situation the center is the workhorse and the L/R and Surrounds are all ambience channels. Use yer best set up for the center.
  13. Keep the ATMOS and surround the same. I Personally don't think that's an issue. But What do I know?
  14. I don't use identical speakers or even the same brand across the front and it works out fine for us.
  15. I got mine at Crutchfield for 299, I have a Crutchfield Card. It's still a good price. I'm revamping my system.
  16. When Yer Wife Lets You build yer Man Cave? You don't need a Man Cave. 😳
  17. I decided Not to but a TT because of the Price of Records. I see these special releases and the prices are just stoopidly high. I can't pay two or three hundred $ for a record and even if I could, I would not.

    Harmony Remotes

Maybe it's been covered but I heard Harmony is not making remotes anymore.
  19. I run my centers through an amp hooked up to the Marantz since the center only has one output. I just moved the RF 82II's to the center position because they're less Bassy. The sound is dead center from the Klipsch as center. Sounds a Lot better than a Center Speaker also.
  20. I use Synergy F20's for surrounds and there is plenty of Low energy info that a smaller speaker cannot deliver. I happen to like the full range of surrounds.
  21. Put enough towers in the room and you won't need a stinking Sub.
  22. I have 3 of these around here---Somewhere, I've seen them within the last 2 weeks
