  1. They sound really nice. Good sound stage and definition. They are small and powerful, only 18lbs each and only about 2 inches high so they don't take up much shelf space. Nice factor is that the amps offer both XLR balanced connections and RCA unbalanced connections so you can decide what you like better. Personally I use XLR anytime I can! Feel free to PM me. I would want $400 for the pair plus actual shipping, which is easy on the wallet. Lots of preamp choices out there. If I'm not mistaken IbizaFlame has an Emotiva preamp for sale at a nice price.....would pair nicely with these amps
  2. I have a pair of Outlaw Audio M2200 mono block power amps I might part with. Like new and 200 wpc @8ohms. They would definitely make your speakers sing. https://www.outlawaudio.com/products/2200.html
  3. Hey Scrappy, someone has three of the XPa-1 mono block amps on the Emo site. They are amazing amps and they would be perfectly matched to each other.
  4. I agree gladiator, just stating deals like that don't come up often in my neck of the woods. You should move them fast.........good luck with sale!
  5. Great speakers and nice price. Too bad you were not local for me!
  6. How old was the one you drove? I drove a newer one with turbo and a titanium package, (probably said platinum earlier), had leather seats, real nice, real big. Super nice. Brand new one. My wife and I drove one in October. Titanium package and fully loaded. The MSRP was high 30's I believe. The interior seems cheapish for the money and the seating position was not comfortable at all. The Fusions do look pretty sleek but the little Dart we drove after it was much nicer equipeed for 10k less and the leather and such felt pretty upscale compared to the Ford. After that we test drove a new Ford Breadbox but neither of us liked that either. Totally cramped inside.
  7. Also, check out the new Dodge Dart. Pretty nice little ride with some of the nicest grouping of standard equipment on the market...and they are offered up pretty cheap. No offense to anyone but the Fusion was not a pleasure in any state of the word when I test drove one!
  8. Hey Michael, look at the new Jeep Cherokee. It will give you more interior and cargo room plus it gets about the same MPG as the Fusion. Costs about the same too. We almost bought one last fall before we decided on a new Ram 1500. They come in 2WD or 4WD and 4 cyl and 6 cyl. They really drive nice and are affordable when you look at how they add up against something like a Fusion. They have some nice pricing on them right now too. My neigbor is a plant manager/Engineer for the Flat Rock, MI truck plant and he just traded his Fusion in becasue he was unhappy with it. He bought an Escape, which made sense for him because of his AZ plan and all that. Even he acknowledged the new Cherokee is one heck of a value. They start at under $23k for a 2WD and come with pretty much everything you will need. Also, $1500 rebates on them right now. You can always get a little sportier with a Trailhawk package, that was what we were looking at. They pretty much conquer all for half the price of a Grand Cherokee.
  9. Thanks for offering me up a pair Michael!
  10. Hi guys, I have two RC-3 II's I got from Ebay, unfortunately one is missing the speaker straps for biwiring. I have been using it with a longer strip of bare wire and it obviously works fine but would really prefer to use the proper strap. Does anyone know where I can get one set for a single center? Thanks, Tim
  11. Just wanted to let everyone know how good these centers sound when set up as main speakers. I have them paired with twin subs and a pair of Outlaw Audio M220 mono blocks and they bring a lot to the table. I just switched them in to a set up I was previously running KSB 3.1's and the improvement is pretty exciting! Not sure if anyone has used paired centers as mains but I am glad I tried it!
  12. I have heard great things about the DC-1. I have five of their XDA-2's and love them, GLWS!
  13. You could maybe use some large flat head screws to completely cover the holes and add reinforcement. Black ones even!
  14. KP-201 http://www.klipsch.com/kp-201/details Or this one... http://www.klipsch.com/kp-250/details
  15. To Bi amp with a single source such as a receiver probably will not affect anything beneficial since you are drawing from the same transformer to supply the additional power. If you were biamping with a two channel amp to supply power to your woofers while letting the receiver channels provide power for the tweeter it may improve the sound. My two cents.
  16. Dang Ibiza........I bought a factory refreshed Gen 1 XDA-2 a week ago Thursday and it was on my porch in Michigan Monday afternoon. The added bonus was that they shipped me a Gen 2, and I swear it is brand new. Not a single scuff or scratch on this unit...black trim, updated remote and all. Maybe you can hint to them on the phone you are just starting your Emo journey and for your troubles maybe pitch in a pair of RCA's or something. They do have nice cables....hint, hint!
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Pair-KLIPSCH-RF-3-RF3-Black-TOWER-Floor-AUDIO-Stereo-SPEAKERS-Estate-Find-/371306851099?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item56739ceb1b Obviously no affiliation to the Ebay seller. Seems like a fantastic deal though!
  18. Too bad shipping is so costly. These are great speakers and someone is going to be a happy camper!
  19. Too bad Klipsch is running such a good sale on them right now. Tough competition. GLWS!
  20. Sounds like quite a product you have there. If you are serious you should look into Etsy for selling. I have found quite a few good sauces available there and for a 20 cent listing price you will probably do well.
  21. The posts turned out nice guys. I have put my fix off for now, just tightened everything on the inside and the problem was solved so I figured that is a project for another day.
  22. I may do the refinish myself on my pair of RS-3 II's. Not sure if it is worth it though as it is just a tiny area on mine....and I am not using them right now anyways!
  23. What a terrible design flaw with these speakers....
