so, in my case, I feel like there is MUCH to learn in so many topics, with this being one of them. I gather from this post 1) - that the design is the REAL basis from which improvements can be realized. correct? 2) - also - just because a component has balanced input/output, that alone does not necessarily mean that component is automatically better than similar, or even identical, one that has only unbalanced. is that a correct statement/understanding? if #2 is correct, what parts of the design or tech used lend to lower distortion circuits? thanks for humoring me & lending me your experience -John

holy crap! current bid = $235, and 3 days left in the auction. a lot can change in 3 days' bidding. one rear tag completely missing, and only part of the other remains. it looks like it says BK-OO. AB XO's someone who can get close to these needs to be watching this one

As of this reply, looking at the post, it looks like still available. $475, unwilling to ship, in Ashland City, TN. And since then, another pair has been posted, in Nashville, $425 for a pair of '79 H 1's. Posted in the same FB Audio Trader for Audiophiles group. N/a with either post or seller.

I think it mostly comes down to what kind of relationship one/we/I have with a given person. if you're/I am on good terms with someone regardless of gender, the conversation is obviously much more relaxed, and topics that can be joked about or discussed seriously expand a lot. but NOT meaning that allows anyone to make come-ons, unwanted advances, etc. that's just not allowed in any circumstances, IMHO. but sometimes, it is possible to have a casual conversation with one that you would never consider having with another. I think that is at the heart of a lot of things. but folks pushing the envelope into territory like ML, Cosby & others in the news - no way Jose. just. no. reason. that would be acceptable

^ this and ^ ^ that. as a former student (not alum but I did enroll a couple of times. even bought books once, I think) I am a bit biased. but if we (Auburn) doesn't beat uGa again this coming Sat to win the SEC, we don't deserve to be in any CFP consideration. so what @oldtimer said is exactly correct. need to win out through the end of the season + conf champ games to be considered for any playoff business.

so, is there a way to resolve this issue? so many things I know little about, and subs is one of those areas. thanks.

with that group, not sure it would have made much difference. now, had they had been "invited" ;-) to attend something like a Scared Straight - Live Participation Event - Midnight Express where they lived it for a little while... well, that would have made news headlines for sure but might make a difference
