  1. @baron167 - sounds to me like you need to just go do it
  2. @Thaddeus Smith - I'm glad that you have made a decision that you're comfortable with, and have taken action on it. I have no advice to offer that hasn't been mentioned already, but will chime in with best wishes / best luck to you in searching for the next gig. I do know what it's like to consider leaving with nothing lined up to move to. sometimes, some days, it's just that bad. at our place, our CEO sold us out in a "merger" (sometimes pronounced just like 'murder') with another industry leader. I was at the 'old co' for 9.5 yrs before that. many of us who have worked together during that time reminisce that we didn't know how good we had it back then. and we didn't. but I feel ya. and wish you the best of luck now, and when you're considering something down the road. -John
  3. nice. a well-deserving grandson I'm sure. I gather those Marshalls are nice equipment, as often as I see them on stages for super groups...
  4. has anyone ever told you that maybe you should get out more often? (or get out at all? ) into the out of doors, with sunlight, fresh air etc.?
  5. wow! pretty darn good. I've heard of them but I guess not heard them - if yanno what I mean. excellent job on those covers. have always loved the 1st 2. love the guitars like Gilmour & Walsh, and Godsmack does a great job 'honoring' the originals while still putting their own nice touches to them. good find
  6. I'm sure law of supply & demand is at work. if inventory in that condition is bringing prices like that, obviously some are willing to pay it. at some point you'd think it's GOT to top out. hard to say at what price that will be tho
  7. wow. you guys are too much for a noob like me. attic system ? my gf would have a fit.
  8. yes - very nice looking speakers. at that price should sell very quickly I think. GLWS
  9. nice looking speakers there. but wow! - $2500 worth of nice?!? wow. as much as I'd like to have a pair, umm... maybe overpriced? /sarcasm off

    BSOD, Win 7

also - there used to be a way to debug that memory.dmp memory dump file. I used to do that if properly motivated. there was a Windows debugger & instructions somewhere online, probably a Microsoft site/page, with instructions & what to look for. good luck with it.

    BSOD, Win 7

if you can get it back up & running, you can change the auto-reboot settings so that it does not reboot on its own.

    What I Got Today!

This was delivered today. No, I've had the pup for a little while. Fun times when I get home Friday
  13. or you could take the approach some of us insist sr mgmt at our office does - that is, ask us what we think, or ask for suggestions with no intention of really considering anything we have to offer. you could do that - and act like you're giving them input, when you full well know what you're going to play for the 'hood regardless of what they say.
  14. nice score there! I hope I'll soon be able to put up a similar post. enjoy!
  15. LOL - billing you for their broken china. funny stuff there.
  16. maybe your neighbors just haven't had enough exposure to your tastes in sonic quality, music & entertainment yet ?
  17. nice. sounds like you guys are just all over it, and like OP says, a match made in heaven? very nice. glad for you guys. maybe one day I'll get there. enjoy

    Time Out!

agreed. IMO, there isn't nearly as much attention to the quality of the build any more as compared to these things made back in the day. yes, there are some - Klipsch, and Heritage as examples. seems to me too many manufacturers are building for least cost, lowest selling price and willing to reduce "overall quality" or workmanship to get to that desired cost / selling price. I think most of us 'round the forum here appreciate the quality of yesteryear, and are willing to pay for it if we must. but as Rx said above - I'm always looking for a deal (steal ) on something with long lasting value.
  20. not knowing the cast, I predict the answer will be... either the strawberry, or maybe the pear
  21. oh, I'm pretty sure it would, given the right conditions (or vehicle)
  22. I don't remember. it's been waaayyyy too long
