and then these chumps ask "how many buses can we park on that screen (in center field)? shoot me now. I mean, I like John Smoltz but I guess I haven't listened to him do a broadcast much at all. c'mon man!!!

I hear ya. some stats they come up with are interesting, but others make me cock my head like my dogs do, and ask "what the @#$% ?"
  3. Yep , patience isn't my best area , but still trying . and I believe what you said about that CL instance . an estate sale near me had a pair of Belles , a pair of CW , and a pair of K horns posted to CL . received 5 calls in 1 hr . in Mississippi .
  4. Wow . what a find . I keep telling myself "one of these days . .."
  5. Yes , I'm sure you can have a very nice 2 ch system , especially considering they are H iii's. I have a pair of H i's in mine and enjoy them a lot (when the receiver works right , but that's a whole 'nother deal )
  6. Yes they do look great ! GLWS
  7. It certainly is impressive . that's one of the few acceptable comments that came to mind . good thing for me my speech to text is turned off Wow . what a setup . GLWS
  8. I hear ya . I've tried explaining that concept to my GF . I think she understands it well enough , but just likes giving me grief about this recent "illness " taking hold of me . Right now , I'm in love with the idea of exploring more of the Heritage line , even though I may have "placement challenges " (read : enough room )
  9. Isn't that always the case?
  10. But where's the fun in that?!?
  11. Darn. I read "boxes" and thought something else. Cabs? Oh well.
  12. yep... if I were "local" to more stuff, I might have a real problem. since I'm not - no problems, right
  13. 31 bids, winning bid $165. If only I was local...
  14. Jim - good info. if they were close to home, it would be an even bigger temptation. kind of a good thing they are way up there & I am way down here. I'd love to have a pair that looks like this. that's good info. thanks for sharing.
  15. not sure if I'm going there sounds like they are excellent speakers, hi performing, and rugged for moderate amounts of physical "abuse" on the cabs
  16. not knowing anything about how this works, but as I understand NAS tech, it's not so much a computer to run any apps (other than a native or embedded device management app). think basic computer OS with only a local file browser - no web browser, no email client, nothing else. I think the NAS is more an expandable storage appliance that does run a minimal operating system. I may be completely off base, but that's my impression of how NAS devices work. so you may not be able to run Plex or anything else from the NAS. likewise, I don't think you could run iTunes from the NAS. you would - I believe - have to run iTunes form a phone, computer, whatever, and point that iTunes app to the NAS to list content. that's how I see Flex working with a NAS.
  17. can't offer any help at all on the ripping, but we, my team & I, have used a couple of these at work for different projects, and they have worked well for us. now, we are using them as designed, for networked storage and not media sharing. so I have no experience regarding serving up movies & such... yet. (since one of them is several years old, it may soon be 'retired' off the res the older one is this Netgear RNDP 6610. the newer model we use is this Synology DS412+ . hope that helps.
  18. that's excellent - glad it worked out for you. and always, with beauty being in the eye of the beholder, as long as each is satisfied, what else matters, eh? yes, it is one of the best looking I've seen in a while. I can't justify this deal to myself (much less the GF) right now. looks like a good deal for someone. and thanks for the advice on top photos. that will come in handy down the road as I do plan to upgrade from HI's to bigger & better in the future
  19. wow. very pretty pair there. hmmm... I've never been to Chicago, and did have other plans... 11 hrs, 750 mi, one pack of smokes and a half a tank of gas
  20. Shaun - I'm enjoying 'watching' this project of yours shape up, and trying to soak in all the advice coming your way. one day, I hope to clean up the finish on my H1 FB's. this thread is certainly educational for me. good luck on your project!
  21. I hear ya Tim. my GF is beginning to accept my 'illness', after watching me chase stuff around the area, watching CL etc all the time. now, I feel like I give a little too - I'm trying to restrain myself for now to Heritage series, and until we find out for sure if we will move, to only those deals deemed "too good to pass up" but that in itself has inherent latitude... at least in my mind it does John
  22. title says "Klipsch KG 4.5 Tower Speakers, Center Speaker and Subwoofer" photos don't offer much detail, but for someone in the market, who can get there, here you go edit - no affiliation of mine
