  2. Hi @vincentq Here are the HERITAGE codes that you will use to read your labels if you want to greatly improve your Cornwall III you can see the pretty MALH Horn from @Dave A

  4. some reading for you @Rodolpk6 https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/98322-khorn-60th-anniversary-style-backs/page/2/&tab=comments#comment-1476348
Je vais suivre ton sujet avec intérêt 👍 Nice project that this new KHorn. Your old BelleKlipsch were superb and your modifications were great! For your new project, why don't you already listen to the Khorns like that without closing them, maybe the rounded corners will be fine. Then to close them, I'm sure the guys here will advise you the best. They are very friendly and like to help owners of Klipsch. I will follow your topic with interest 👍
  6. I saw Patti Smith Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) Robert Smith (Cure) Keith Richard Billy Gibbons Luther Allison Bernard Allison Geordie Walker (Killing Joke) Tom Morello (RATM) Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil) Robin Campbell (UB40) Hugh Cornwell (Stranglers) Eric Schenkman (Spin Doctor) ...
  7. I do not believe that there is ONE best guitarist in the world. Of course I love Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, ... But, my favorites for their musical contribution are, apart from purely technical considerations, out of order: - Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna) - Fred Frith (Henry Cow, Art Bear, ...) - John Frusciante (RHCP) - Annie Clark (St Vincent) - John McGeoch (Siouxie and the Banshees, Magazine) - Geordie Walker (Killing Joke) - Colin Newman (Wire) - Peter Laughner (Pere Ubu) - Mick Taylor (Stones : he too was revealed by an anthology live: Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out, where his guitar parts are simply magic) - Franck Zappa - Robert Fripp (King Crimson) - Tom Verlaine (Television) - Robert Smith (The Cure) - Elliot Easton (The Cars) - .... And so many others 😃 @jimjimbo Thanks for the live reference, I'm going to listen to this "Live at Roni Scotts". My favorite album is There and Back
  8. No no rubber tray cover at my place. I have a tray cover of 3mm Delta Device, it is acrylic from this manufacturer Tizo Acryl from your country: http://www.acrylteller.com/epages/es122814.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es122814_acrylteller/Products/4428/SubProducts/442820 I combined it with a cork tray cover
  9. I saw it in concert in 1979 or 1980 = GREAT !!!
  10. Hi guys ! It's my birthday today 😄 So I got a gift of some nice new and used Jazz records. I buy them at Jazz Messengers in Barcelona in Spain. I had a nice store bag in the package 👍
  11. Hi, No, I have not tried the DE10, I know it has a good sound, because @ClaudeJ1 tested it and he told us. But the DE10 (Ø90mm) is too big to pass in the hole the facade of my CWIII. And then you have to make an adapter because the fixing screws are on a Ø76mm circle: it is too wide to fix on K107 or K79 with their plates of about Ø56mm. So I chose the DE120 which is smaller (Ø70mm), fixings on a Ø57mm circle and also has a very excellent sound. Smaller (Ø60mm) there are the DE110 and DE111 with fixings on Ø52mm circle, always at B&C. https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/compression-driver-b-c-speakers-de10-8-ohm-1-0-inch-throat-diameter.html https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/compression-driver-b-c-speakers-de120-8-ohm-1-0-inch-throat-diameter.html https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/compression-driver-b-c-speakers-de110-8-ohm-1-0-inch-throat-diameter.html https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/compression-driver-b-c-speakers-de111-8-ohm-1-0-inch-throat-diameter.html 👍
  12. Hi, The PHT-409 and the original Klipsch K107Ti are strictly identical at the level of the connection mouth and the Tractrix horn. There is only the central diffusion piece of the dome which is different, this piece is removable and is not glued to the plastic of the horn. See my photos K107Ti Klipsch PAudio PHT-409 / Monacor MHD190 Diffusion piece being cut on the backing plate
  13. hi, No fitting necessary, you just have to tinker with the existing one. For the B&C DE120, I adapted the PHT-409 plate by making lateral reservations for the screws on a Ø57mm circle, the plate and the counter plate are approximately Ø56mm on PHT-409. Since there are three screws, the assembly fits perfectly with screws and washers. In addition I was able to center the 1 "driver exactly on the 1" hole in the counter plate, it's perfect. On the backplate there was a central diffuser, I removed it with a small grinding wheel on a Dremel, then I sanded with abrasive sandpaper for a homogeneous surface and the same roughness, the whole a once mounted seems original seen from the outside on the front side of the speaker. I put a small washer to make a thickness stop so as not to crush the foam of the DE120 joint too much, then a large washer for fixing and tightening on the counter plate, and finally a lock nut for tightening, because the screws I had in my workshop were too long. Watch my montage here: If you are not too handy I think that the assembly of a B&C de110 or 111 is even simpler because they have two screws on a circle of Ø51mm, it will be enough to drill together the two holes in the plate and the counter Ø56mm plate, the holes will be at the edge but it does not matter, because it is necessary to put washers.
  14. I saw that you tinkered a lot, so this will definitely interest you. With them the yellow capacitors are not of very good quality, on the other hand they make a lot of parts for horns like Paudio adapters, Horns and quality speakers. Paudio is used a lot by Klipsch: pavilion K704, K107, .... I ordered horns and adapters from them, the packages are very well made and the parts of good quality! https://www.bluearan.co.uk//index.php
  15. Hello @Robbie010 As mentioned above, you can put 2 x 1µF in parallel to make 2µF. Otherwise there is a seller in France who ships to you in UK and they have a lot of very good equipment and all kinds of SCR of various qualities in 2µF. They also have a lot of parts to make beautiful speakers and it's a serious business, I ordered a lot from them, it's always perfect! https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/loudspeaker-components/composants-pour-filtres-passifs/condensateurs/par-capacite-et-prix/2__.html SCR Tin 100vdc more than enough to tweet them, the photo is no longer displayed https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/loudspeaker-components/composants-pour-filtres-passifs/condensateurs/par-capacite-et-prix/scr-mkp-tin-capacitor-2-f-sa-serie-100vdc.html Example SCR Tin SA 2µF 150vdc to show you the photo of a Tin SCR https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/loudspeaker-components/composants-pour-filtres-passifs/condensateurs/par-capacite-et-prix/scr-mkp-tin-capacitor-2-f-sb-serie-150vdc.html 😃
  16. The other solution is to mount a new MAHL with DE120 or 110 (depending on the space available) from @Dave A https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/175348-horn-adaptor-for-k-77-replacement/ 😃
  17. if you are lacking treble, you can put this on your Horn driver B&C DE250 = 1 capacitor from 1 to 0.5µF (you can even try to go down to 2µF) and a resistance in parallel of 1 or 2 or 3 ohms or even more, some goes up to 6 or 7 ohms. You have understood that the values of the components are to be refined according to your tastes. ! Attention, to refine it will then be necessary to adjust the general level of DE250 on the active filter
  18. MAHL of @Dave A whith DE120 or DE110 B&C or Faital pro speakers
  19. Yes Hunka 😄 It should be noted that the MINIMUM table dates from 1979 and that at the time there was no table like that: heavy, black with a large tray. I think Pierre Lurné and Bernard Hariton were forerunners because many high end tables look like this one now.
  20. Hi, I had a big turntable in 1980, it turned like a Clock for 30 years, it was placed on 150Kg of concrete in a sandbox, the turntable weighs 60kg and the tray about 20kg, the whole must weigh about 250kg (550 lbs) and I had a LURNE arm and an AT33E cell, which I listen to with this material. I also change the oil, but more often, every 2 or 3 months because the pressure on the unipivot is enormous: so you need clean, new oil at this location. The turntable is now in my garage, it will take a day that I have the courage to repaint it brand and new turn it again! The MINIMUM had replaced a superb Linn LP12 that I had before, I see we like the same material Hi-Fi guys 🤣 Unfortunately I do not have a photo with the arm and the cell, when the stage was beautiful, with a superb painting and without dust About 10 years ago, I gave the documents to Vinyl Engine so that they could put them on their site. Here you can download the essay and the explanations of the turntable, review passed in the Audiophile in French in 1979 : Downloads > information https://www.vinylengine.com/library/audiomeca-pierre-lurne/minimum.shtml @JohnJ I am extremely jealous of your treasure trove of LPs 🤤
  21. I put the titanium version of Klipsch in this message ! Actually as @MechEngVic says it looks like you have a version of Crites on yours If you are a handyman and meticulous, it looks like you can repair yours with copper wire, silver solder and varnish to protect everything 🔨
