Beatles Trivia Contest With Prizes!!!!!!!! Winners Annouced!
Tony Whitlow replied to thebes's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
There were four singers in the Beatles. Ravi Shankar taught George to play the sitar but Maharishi Mehesh Yogi was a bigger influence. Hell, they wrote a song about him, “ Sexy Sadie”. Their first performance was the Ed Sullivan Show. None of the three people listed was on the Sgt. Pepper cover according to the legend that lists the characters. If you run a contest the people making the questions need to know the CORRECT answers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Forte II - trouble taming brightness
Tony Whitlow replied to aljordan's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
The brightness you speak of is totally natural. Live music is BRIGHT, very bright. Sometimes I’m tempted to slap the sound guy and take over the mixing desk. Just back off the volume some. Remember KLIPSCH loudspeakers are very accurate and only reproduce the source as accurately as possible. Brittle guitar and harmonica send me up the wall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Want to mod Heresy 3 - need information
Tony Whitlow replied to salavat's topic in Technical/Restorations
My Heresys are 40 years old and still sound pristine. Wire is wire. It passes current not sound. Any “ improvement” in sound quality from expensive designer wire is purely psychoacoustical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

My LaScalas are stuffed into the corners at 45 degrees. Equal reflections from rear and side walls. Near perfect imaging from anywhere in the room. My Heresys are on stands in the rear at 45 degrees. Just following PWK’s recommendations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New rap or old rap, it doesn’t matter, this crap is NOT music. Never was, never will be. Sophomoric noise with unintelligent lyrics for people who can’t sing or play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

La Scala placement within built in cabinet advice
Tony Whitlow replied to Jerspokin's topic in General Klipsch Info
I would find another room where they could be properly positioned for music. Too fine of a speaker to use for background noise to billiard balls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

RF-7 III...Trying to achieve better off-center imaging
Tony Whitlow replied to adam2434's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Do what PWK said. ALL speakers sound better in the corner toed in 45 degrees. My front speakers are LaScalas. I use a combination square to insure a true 45. Everyone in the room enjoys both channels regardless where they sit. My seating position is like yours, a little to the left. The image is dead center a sounds like it’s coming from the TV. Hard left and right, left center and right center as well as center is all there in the image. Colonel Klipsch knew his stuff. Follow his teachings and you’ll be happy. The LaScala predated the Belle. The Belle was a domesticated version of the LaScala. The Belle was dropped because of economics as the Cornwall was. Their prices were close to what a LaScala cost with the Belle costing more and Cornwall a little less. People were buying LaScalas. The Cornwall was brought back by market demand.
