  1. My system is a mostly heritage 5.2.4 configuration and currently used for 90% multichannel HiFi and 10% HT. Mostly because I don't have time to watch a lot of movies. But as stated above my system does HT very well. I do not listen to any 2 channel music. My source material is all Blu-Ray concert disc and I have approx 50 of them currently. So I would like to use this thread to discuss source materials as well. My room acoustics have no modifications and I feel this is my next best place to start to improve my sound quality. I also have no idea what or where to start. I also need to get another center channel speaker as that is my wink link at the moment. I have been very unimpressed with the mix quality of every Blu-Ray disc it seems and listen mostly in multichannel stereo with all speakers playing full content. I do not use the overhead speakers for music. I prefer DTS HD Master over Dolby True HD decoding. My system: Denon X4300H utilizing Audyssey Multeq 32 Sony UHPH1 Blu-Ray Toshiba HD-DVD player Left Front- Klipshorn Center- Heresy Right Front- Klipschorn Left Rear - Belle Right Rear- Belle Front L&R Overhead- RB6 ii Rear L&R Overhead- (embarrassed to say and soon to be replaced) Subs- SVS PC13 Ultra and SVS PC12 NSD
  2. That very well may be the case.
  3. I agree it just didn't appear and in the old days it was swept under the rug and some were separated from the rest of the "herd". But not to the extent of today. Something is very wrong, The numbers are escalating in a non linear fashion to the population growth. These stats are alarming. Prevalence of autism in U.S. children increased by 119.4 percent from 2000 (1 in 150) to 2010 (1 in 68). (CDC, 2014) Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability. (CDC, 2008) Prevalence has increased by 6-15 percent each year from 2002 to 2010. (Based on biennial numbers from the CDC) We are doing something to our children.

    No More Crack Fries

Good thing I did not suggest Fentanyl Fries as a replacement.
  7. "While the name Crack Fries was intended to be tongue-in-cheek, drug addiction is not a joke," Mark Gray, CEO of BarFly Ventures, HopCat's parent company, said Monday in a Youtube video and blog post. "The drug crack has devastated many of the communities that we serve." Menus, signs and posters are being redesigned, with a yet-to-be announced name change in January. The more-than 11-year-old recipe for the beer-battered fries, with salt and pepper among a secret blend of seasonings, is to remain intact.
  8. Audessy will set the sub very hot for my taste. I have over 50 Blu-ray concerts and the bass tracks are all over the place. I am not familiar with your sub but once you get everything set up I vary the sub output volume with the controls on the sub. Even then I try to just leave it alone unless the bass is to overwhelming on a particular disc.
  9. Over a 12 hour drive one way to experience that. I do not blame you for just walking away.
  10. Verizon Wireless Return/Exchange Procedure If you purchased your merchandise from a Verizon Wireless Communications Store, please follow the instructions below to process your return: Customers who purchased their merchandise at a Verizon Wireless Communications Store should return/exchange their merchandise at a Verizon Wireless Communications Store only. A $50 restocking fee applies to all wireless device returns and all wireless exchanges (excluding Hawaii). Pack the merchandise (including phone, charger, battery, instructions, etc.) in its ORIGINAL box. All merchandise must be in likenew condition. The original customer receipt must accompany all returns. Please retain a copy of the receipt for your records. Return the merchandise to any Verizon Wireless Communications Store. Returning your merchandise does not automatically terminate your service. Cancellation of service can only be done at the request of the customer. It would have been worth the $50 restocking fee to save the $400 on Black Friday. All the major carriers now only give you the sale savings as a monthly credit on a 24 month 0%APR loan. It is basically the same as singing a 2 year contract in years past.
  11. Why did the waterbed go out of style? I really enjoyed mine, slept well and the heater was awesome in the winter.
  12. Thank you for buying a vehicle assembled in Indiana 👍
  13. And you thought choosing a TV was going to be tough 😁
  14. WiFi adds $100 during the sale. Sounds like I need to check out the features and maybe I should consider it. One of the biggest reasons I didn't get one earlier this season was back then I was considering the Davey Crockett model but could not get excited about the portable (68lbs) model with the fold up legs at this same price point.
  15. It was your recommendation from an earlier thread this year that made me decide to look at the Green Mountain products. Actually at the time I had never even heard of a pellet grille before. The Daniel Boone in black is now $399 for a black non-wifi that has a MSRP of $599 and the good part is its on sale now so I don't have to play any Friday games
  16. A Green Mountain Daniel Boone pellet grille. Wanted to get one all summer but didn't really find any good deals. Amazon Firestick, I lost the remote to my gen 1, cheaper to buy a new one.
  17. I was thinking a #24 ranked team would give the Hoosiers a closer game. IU is pretty beat up injury wise, I look forward to when they get healthy and the opponents get stronger. Stomped is a good term for what Michigan did to Villinova and the Nova players were a bit chippy and surprised it appeared by there actions.
  18. At :50 seconds he explains the pressure relief built into the block and at 5:50 he explains the pressure relief built into the filter
  19. I watched IU beat up on Chicago State. Wanted to see Romeo Langford play. Looks like some Assembly Hall first time jitters to start but he came out of them. He needs to work on those free throws though. I was impressed with two new faces Rob Phinisee and Evan Fitzner. Even more impressed to see the four mascots of The Champions Classic teams visit our local Childrens hospital while they were here.
  20. Interesting article. Being calibrated out of the box is something I hope more manufacturers pick up on.
  21. @wvu80 I enjoy seeing others research and agonize things as thoroughly as I do. I could not impulse buy even a pack of gum. The item doesn't have to be the very best, but I always want the best bang for the buck One thing I noticed is the screen size in scale to the cubic feet of the big box store vs the screen size when it is located in your room at home. A 65" may look small at Sams but at home it is a pretty large screen.
  22. The Vizio hierarchy is P Quantum P Series M Series E Series D Series I have had a Vizio LED TV for 4 years and it has been flawless. Since you haven't mentioned Costco I assume they may not be in your area. Costco extends the manufacture warranty for 1 year for no extra cost, I am not sure if Sams club does as well as I am not a member. Costco also uses Four Square for an extended warranty at a significantly less cost than the brick and mortar stores. There are also guidelines for screen size based on the distance you are seated from the screen. No matter which model you end up purchasing go to avsforum for suggestions on calibration settings.
