  1. But the announcers never say Louisville correctly. But I guess that does not matter any more this year. Noooooooo
  2. Understood, but I gave you one. A guy has to stick with his hometown team. I have only seen NC play once this year but I do know Butler has a huge task ahead of them. Now if Blue III was allowed into the arena the mojo would be on Butlers side. #FreeBlue3
  3. Cmon Butler Bulldogs lets see another #1 seed go down.
  4. I am currently experimenting with a RB-6ii as an atmos speaker in lieu of the RP-140SA. I have it positioned on top of my KHorns angled at 22 degrees aimed up but its looks are not that desirable. I got them for a great price from Frys and feel like from a specification standpoint it is a better speaker but realize there could be some roll off in the Xo of the RP-140SA that may or may not be of a benefit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000X9O8SI/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1YX7EB80E4EIU This is the bracket I was going to use to wall mount another pair in the rear if I liked the result of my front height experiment. Biggest problem is this is a pretty large bookshelf to begin with and then to be angling down without screwing into the cabinet for the 10 degree rake is kind of scary. Depending on your seating position the 22 degree angle of a wall mounted RP-140SA may work better. The distance above your L/R speakers is important to get that height separation from the fronts. To close and it just blends in with the fronts. I just started with my Atmos experiment 3 days ago and I only have one Atmos encoded. Bluray "Star Trek Beyond". It does sound awesome but it has so many sounds coming from everywhere it was difficult to verify how much height I was hearing. I need something like a helicopter hoovering or rain to really know if I obtained my objective. I would look at the specs of the RP-140SA and some of the bookshelves and determine if these may fit the bill. The RP-140SA is also wall mountable if you feel that is your best choice.
  5. I watched the same movie in his HT, maybe it was even at the same time in the evening after one of the Indy HQ events. It was by far the best HT I have had the pleasure to visit.. I do not know the name of the movie but the sound of the bullets whizzing around the room was incredible. We started the evening outside with like a Jubilee or something out in the driveway?
  6. I totally get that and respect it, myself I enjoy many forms of motorsports and understand your stance. I thought it was a pretty good race. I primarily only watch the superspeedways, the road courses and of course the trucks on dirt in NASCAR. I enjoy the truck series the most because of the vast difference in talent and age between the field. Even had a father and son in the race. Seeing a 18 year old get his first win in the division was fun, albeit if it was not for circumstances I an sure he would have got educated and not a win. I am just like Ceptorman its been a long winter and I am ready for motorsports. It is the Hoosier in us. I miss the smell of the leaded race fuel at the start of a NASCAR race, now the best place to get that aroma is at the drag strip, of course at the strip there is also Nitro.
  7. This has been my fav NASCAR series for several years now. Starting this year they had to include them for the first time into a non traditional points system. I am going to be open minded but I do not like it.
  8. 120/240V/2P/3W is the common house service from your utility company. It is referred to as single phase but is technically 2phase. The 2 pole (2P) nomenclature is for pole not phase. The 3 wire (3W) nomenclature is 2 phase wires and a neutral with the ground wire not accounted for but present. It was common practice before the NEC 210.4(B) change to share a common neutral between 3 phases (ABC) circuits to obtain three 120V circuits in commercial applications. In your example you could share a common neutral with a 2 pole circuit breaker to obtain two 120V circuits but it would be a code violation. This would work because the 2-pole breaker will be connected to the A and B phase) If you tried to use two separate 1 pole breakers with a common neutral and both were connected to the A phase for example this would not work. The same result would occur.if you tried to use two B phases together. Your example of a 200 foot #10AWG copper 120V circuit with a 3% voltage drop would allow for a 7.5 amps maximum load. For safety concerns I recommend you stick with two dedicated 120V circuits and do not introduce any step up transformers into the application.
  9. I picked up a pair of these this weekend at my Local Frys store. They were stated to be "open box" but they were brand new never open and in perfect condition.
  10. Jim go ahead and do what you have to do. I will keep working on my friends.
  11. Thanks for the poke, I will hit up my friends again or if anyone from the forum wants to split them with me and have a great evening. I will let you know Sat at the latest.
  12. In the Sound and vision review on page 2 "Because the height channels have a 180-hertz lowfrequency cutoff when Atmos-enabled speakers or modules are selected during setup, limited bass from the 4-inch woofers wasn’t an issue." Be careful when using these as full range speakers. I am planning on updating my AVR to an Atmos model and using four RP140SA running 5.2.4 What concerns me is I want these for movie watching only. For Bluray concerts I currently use Multichannel stero mode, I am trying to verify that in Multichannel Stereo mode with no Atmos signal present if these speakers will remain silent. It appears reading the Denon X____ manuals this may be an option if it has different memory setting for different modes. I am concerned about damaging one at my concert SPL levels.
  13. Is the Indy HQ cafeteria still open to the public? Back in 2009 a few people from the Pyramids and Kiwanis would eat there. Chef JJ would email you the menu every morning. Plus live music on Wednesdays. My office is 2100 feet from my desk to the HQ as the eagle flys. Would not mind stopping by again if it still an option.
  14. Arie Luyendyk drove that car in '84,85,86. Nice shots
  15. XR750...nice. Indy was a fast mile. My friend in HS raced one, sponsored out of Florida. We were always like which one was faster the XR750 or my '73 900Z1 in a fictional race and on a straight line of asphalt.
  16. A stranger could talk to Mark for like 2 minutes and know he is for real and as humble as you say. The Gran Sport was the performance option on the Riviera, Skylark and Wildcat. The 1965-66 emblems said Gran Sport then '67 and later was GS. Your Dad sounds cool, I like him. Southern girl huh, good reason to go to The Circuit of the Americas.
  17. Bill, I am the same way, I have been a motorhead my entire life. I really like Mark Dismore. I remember the day he crashed coming out of turn 4 in practice. It was 1991 i think it was during happy hour on the Friday before pole day. I honestly did not think I would ever see him again. Funny I was in the infield between 1 and 2 at the inaugural SVRA event before the ProAm race and heard a voice, turned to my friend and said that has to be Mark Dismore. it was. I did not remember he was Scot Braytons teammate. I collect race and show 1960's Buick Gran Sports and 1986-87 Grand Nationals and Turbo Regal T-Types so the Buick Indy V6 and the Braytons are very special to me. We need to get together and do some real bench racing.

    Security cam

I was just looking at Ring and the associated exterior camera they have. I had not thought about interior cameras yet. Possibly film the "secret Life of speakers"
  19. Yes I am very much a 500 fan and the entire Indycar series as well. I would always purchase a bronze badge and spend the entire first week of practice, pole day, carb day and of course the race. All this was before the IRL/CART split in 2006 which just ruined it for me. I knew all the drivers, wives and even mom's as in Wanda Unser. Then I drifted over to NASCAR, I had season tickets to 7 races a year for a long time until the Race for the Chase format which then ruined NASCAR for me and I rarely even tune in anymore. So I now pay more attention to NHRA and back to Indycar, Which is kind of embarrassing because I walk thru the Gasoline Alley and really only recognize the top drivers today. I do enjoy sports car racing, Moto GP and lots of motorsports. I will watch F1 but can not say I am a big fan. Great to see another Indy person here and looks like a few race fans in the forum as well. I look forward to chatting with you all this racing season
  20. Looks like the neighbors get a sneak peek before they hear them. Yes, keep the boxes and all the packing.
  21. Congrats on an awesome purchase. I have listened to the originals and loved them. I can wait to hear this Gen.
  22. The kickoff of the Motorsports season for me and with the introduction of new race cars in the Prototype class and a number of new cars and participants in both GT classes it should be interesting. Looks like you can watch it all but an hours worth across all the FOX networks.
  23. I was 8 years old when the Mary Tyler Moore Show debut and I remember watching and falling for her. RIP Mary Tyler Moore
