  1. I have both, they are both great sounding. I love the sound of both. I prefer the Chorus II's for everyday casual listening with SS McIntosh, but love the Cornwall III's with my McIntosh tube amplifier.
  2. Bigstewman, good memories of good times gone now, with people no where to be found, can be painful, but why waste time on dwelling on the past, and not making today, a good memory for tomorrow,.. Life comes with the good and the bad, it is not a menu we pick from. At some point in everybody's existence, life stops giving, and stars taking away,....Few memories will be a good thing to hang on, good or bad, it means you have lived, you have learned, you have experimented and you have conquered,.. You just need to keep re inventing yourself everyday, finding new challenges, new hobbies, and pre occupying your self with something new. Being alone is not as bad as being with the wrong person. The future can be either scary or exciting depending on which side of the cup you see: the 1/2 full or the 1/2 empty ?. Holding on to too much memories will rather make us like hoarders you see on TV, their lives becomes so cluttered just like their homes, they can barely move. Stay uncluttered, memories belong in the past, and you live in the present.
  3. I have the chance to buy a brand new pair , and was wondering if anybody owns or have listened to these speakers can please chime in. I have a pair of Emotiva T-2's, and I do like how they sound, but can't help wondering if the RF-7'III's would be more pleasing, as I Love my heritage series speakers, but due to size/location, in my office location it is a challenge to use them. I will use for 2 channels stereo music only. I have asked this question at another forum, not much info, hope you can stir me in the right direction.
  4. clarity, tither bass, no distortion, sound have " more musicality" of the sound, smoother sound, bigger impact and more headroom, to name a few that cpme to my mind, of course omho. ymmv
  5. I used the primaluna dialoge integrated with my la scalla ii, they sounded good, but the mc275 is a different level for sure. I sold my primaluna.
  6. McIntosh MC275 with La Scalla II's, sound is amazing. pre amp: VTA SP-14.
  7. what pre amp to use with the MC-275 VI, tube amp, for La Scalla II's ?
  8. The MA5300 does really make the speakers sound their best. The sound is beautiful and clear, sweet and strong, and detailed. I was using a tube amp before putting it in the system, and yes the MA5300 does sound much better, to my ears, controlling those CW III's with real authority. I have tried the balance in from the CA and then the coaxial into the MA5300, and both sounded really good. the DAC in the MA5300 is a fist class, and it sounds amazing. at the end I preferred the DAC in the MA5300. I will be using the balanced input on the MA5300 to feed it from the OPPO 205, and will use it for cd music and NAS music mainly (FLAC). the CA has become redundant in the system and will be removed.
  9. I have an HK 4390 for sale, in mint condition, lightly used any. with remote. message me if anybody is interested
  10. I totally agree, it will be spread to have about 6 feet in between, once I finish my room remodeling.
  11. I received my new MA5300 last week and finally I had the chance to unpack it impressive packaging btw) and I hooked it up yesterday to drive my Cornwall's III, and he sound couldn't be any better, ...full, detailed, clear at any level, and absolutely amazing.
  12. Big Daddy Griffin I have used various Peachtree audio products with my various Klipsch heritage speakers, from La Scalla II's, to Forte II's, Cornwall III's, and heresy's III. they sounded good. but I did lov the tube sound after all, and ended up selling all my Peachtree integrated. I used the SE220, the Nova 150, and the Sona Dac/Amp combo. Imho, you can purchase a DAC ( I am using a Sonica DAC) and a tube amplifier ( lots of choices here and prices), and you will be rewarded with the sound of those speakers. I found the Peachtree products overpriced, and don't deliver that refined beautiful tube sound that the heritage speakers can and should produce. You will still stay within ur budget, and ejoy an amazing sound. My 2 cents. Good Luck, and welcome to the forum .
  13. He never responded to my message, and I am local to him ! , and if anybody can pick it locally !!. Oh well, does not sound like he is ready to part with the belle's.
  14. I am in Lubbock, I sent u a pm, if u r interested in selling please reply.
  15. Hello I habe a pair of Brand new Forte III's in distressed oak that I am not going to be using. I bought this pair new, as soon as they came out, and my dealer had them shipped to me on a crate about 2-3 months ago. I still have them boxed, never opened them, and I feel I have too many speakers to keep them, so I will stick with my Forte II's. Price: 3,000 dollars for the pair, with pick up from Brownfield TX, (zip 79316). Local Pick up only. I only took them off the crate, and moved them to the house, and never opened the boxes. the full US warranty remains in effect. I bought them from a designated Klipsch dealer. I am not interested in shipping them. If anybody is in a driving distance, and interested those babies are re ready for pick up.
  16. I am the original owner, and I bought both units new few months ago, and used them rarely with my new pair of La Scala II's. They area In mint shape, they come from a children and pet free home, well cared for, and they come with original boxes and all accessories. I am moving to tube amp, and I am only listening to my Turntable now. Asking 2000 dollars for the Yamaha A-S2100 : shipping to lower 48 states & PayPal fees included. Asking 1800 dollars for the Yamaha CD-S2100 CDP, Shipping to lower 48 states & PayPal fees included.
  17. I have the H3's and the CWIII's, both bought new, the CWIII's are my opinion the better speakers, compared to the H3's. Like someone mentioned, the next level is the LS, and I also have a pair, bought new, and they r in a different league sound wise, IMO.
  18. I use a Prima Luna dialogue integrated amp with my heresy's III, and they sound simply amazing in a similar room, 2 channels only. You will love how those speakers will sound with a tube amplifier.
