  1. OK; it's 5pm ... everyone have a glass of wine and relax (or should I say "chill") I personally have no problems with discussing pricing on this forum ... but yes; does not justify any "attacks."
  2. OK; finished one. Sound is "interesting," but not sure if it is any good
  3. Emile

    A Score

Awesome buy ... someone has to pick these up quickly ... note; "she" already put them in the garage with some of his other stuff
  4. Thanks Wrongly thought they were $240/pair ... yes; easy decision
  5. Thank you SIR ... was easier than taking one out of my heresy's
  6. Found this old 2015 post by @moray james Quote The CT125 is NOT an Eminence driver. The original APT tweeter was not an Eminence drive but Polish made and sold by Eminence then Eminence figured they could make their own and increase their profit and the popularity dropped. Bob has the original Polish company build his CT125. Clearly you get what you pay for. Best regards Moray James Unquote
  7. add-on ... think I need to replace the driver ... think it is the Eminence APT-50 Super Tweeter Horn Driver, but not sure Anyone? Also ... does this driver screw onto my existing K77 horns? Thanks, Emile
  8. Anyone has any thoughts on how to fix this ... yes; can maybe "glue" the post back on, but since it got pulled off, the main problem is the positive lead ... don't recall if this is the direct lead from the diaphragm, or ???
  9. For music you should NOT need a sub with these ... specs at https://f072605def1c9a5ef179-a0bc3fbf1884fc0965506ae2b946e1cd.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/product-specsheets/Cornwall-III-Spec-Sheet-v03.pdf ... series 1 and 2 are pretty similar. 34Hz at the low end. Concur with the "others" ... must have been hooked up wrong ... reverse hook-up cancels waves and makes it sound like a $20 speaker ... they are awesome speakers; unless you upgrade to the "Klipsch Pro Series." Cheers, Emile
  10. The fast cars were good ... only car I regret selling was my 1961 Austin Healey 3000 ... but only car I ever made money on ... sold it for 15X my original cost (OK; actually "broke even" if we consider multiple restorations.) Web photo ... very close to "mine" ... ignore the phone number
  11. Used to have a '79 928. Awesome Have driven 935's and even a 962 on a S. FL track (Moroso; now called Palm Beach International Raceway). Absolute BLAST! You must be an OK guy ... Haha Fast Porsches and Klipsch speakers ... doesn't get any better than that But I admit I no longer have any Porsches as I don't live on "the edge" anymore. Bit older now so driving a Mercedes diesel SUV ... biggest thrill is checking the MPG meter
  12. Yeah ... they were a blast to drive. Have had them on tracks like Moroso (S. FL) and Sebring. Not lifting through corers took "big balls: All the new cars are just too smooth and require almost nothing from the driver
  13. Hi @dbomberger ... yes; "had to try tubes" also. Got a $1000 Bob Latino VTA--70 amp, and yes ... it does sound nice. Tried in in my "stereo room" (with Forte's) and even spend another $500 upgrading my pre-amp. OK; nice ... but not any better than my old Marantz 1060 I had it hooked up before. Know I'll catch "hell" from the tube guys for this comment Hey; for $200-300 try it. Cheers, Emile
  14. OK; glued the panel to a fiberglass screen ... hoping I can glue this contraption to a 16x20 inch frame; eliminating any unwanted feedback / oscillations "Blue" spot is where I will attach the exciter.
  15. OK; here's my old 911 C2 turbo ... web pic but actually pretty close to mine ... had it "souped up" to 650 HP ... even in 5th gear it would spin the wheels on the highway ... jeez; got too old and it really got dangerous ... sold it
  16. Got back into serious stereo about a year ago. Aside from the required "good" TT and cd player, also got a reel to reel, a cassette deck, a DAT deck, a laser disc player and a couple of other "dead format" players. It's just a lot of fun comparing them Cheers, Emile

OK ... guess I did not see the s*** stuff Cheers, Emile

No clue "where" you got this from If it was the question "how did you get to this evaluation," (from @Schu ) then "bashing" is certainly an over-reaction. A member was just being "inquisitive" as your Heresy's are pretty rare. Cheers, Emile
  19. @garyrc thank you so much for the awesome help / suggestions Getting late in Florida, so will try "all" tomorrow. Many, many thanks! Cheers, Emile add-on ... used to be easier when we just had "our ears" to listen ... now we have hi-tech for inexperienced amateurs ... Haha
  20. Oops ... had my Carbon Fiber test speakers on Cornwall's below ... still no clue
  21. @garyrc ran a frequency test on my Cornwall's again ... now it looks a lot worse Mic place equidistant from speakers ... any advise? Many, many thanks, Emile add-on ... my CW's are not in a "great" location. Back wall; partially blocked by furniture
  22. Thanks garyrc Still "new" to measuring Have not found a good way to set (relative) measurements between speakers equal. OK; trying again (tomorrow) PS ... love the pic
  23. Yeah ... stereo Have some crazy ideas on how to fit this onto a frame ... getting supplies tomorrow ... stay tuned
