  1. Hi Russ, Welcome to the forum OK; have Cornwall's and currently (haha) use them as rear speakers. Also have a set of Forte's ... probably more refined than the CW's, but they lack soundstage and volume In my opinion (and I'm sure I will hear about this ) they are pretty "anemic" speakers. Have tried to match Forte's with K-510 horns (the little brother of the above mentioned K-402's). No matter what I do, the Forte's are just "little" speakers that will never get to "Pro" levels." So; if you do not have room for (pro) Jubes, look into some other Pro speakers like the KPT-904's. You won't regret it Cheers, Emile
  2. Haha ... got "volunteered" by @JohnJ ... but have no experience with LaScala's or MacIntosh ... but; liked the "adult beverages
  3. Yes; 510's on top of the Forte's. MiniDSP xover set to >500Hz on the 510's, and <1000Hz on the Forte's ... tried many, many settings The Forte's are just "tiny." Of course I am not making a "fair" comparison ... trying to get them to sound like my KPT-904's with 510's and BIG dual 15" woofer boxes Cheers, Emile Add-on ... yes; have a Umik-1 mike
  4. Should not be a problem ... I have a Yamaha SS amp on top of my Cornwall's and it is just fine To be "safe," put some additional rubber (anti-vibration) material in between. Have a pair of Forte I's also and IMHO they are pretty "anemic." (Oh oh ... sure I will hear about that comment ) OK; "anemic" compared to Pro speakers Cheers, Emile
  5. Yes/no/maybe Tried the Eminence 12" Pro woofers ... of course I was "dumb" and put them into "both," therefore not really able to A/B them Seemed to have a little more "punch," but not that obvious Will play some more with them and see Haha; made a CL seller an offer on some dual 15" pro Yamaha S215V speakers ... of course after 4 emails no response (yet?) ... CraigsList sellers are TERRIBLE Also looking at Yamaha mid-range subs SW115V Cheers, Emile
  6. Hate these CraigsList people 3 different sellers; 20 messages, even put "money down." NO RESPONSE (Was for a Crown amp, dual 18" subwoofer and dual 15" yamaha Pro speaker.) Oh well ... really did not need those items anyway OK; maybe I'll try some Yamaha 18" single subs. Model SW118V. Specs say 30-2000Hz, so that will give me a nice range. Anyone ever heard these? Trying to communicate with seller ... yeah; CL We'll see
  7. @Schu ... thanks; beautiful ... but cannot fit it in my small stereo room
  8. still do not have a good solution ... so; an OB is a good possibility. ( @Marvel also suggested it ... thanks!) Open baffle looks sexier than an H-frame. But ... NO CLUE on panel dimensions for either ??? OK; one more thought ... found a Yamaha dual 18" pro cabinet (SW218V) pretty cheap. Box is too big for the room, so I can "chop it up." Any idea if these woofers (Yamaha Jay70110) would be usable? Many thanks, Emile
  9. Yes; and also "the bigger the box, the bigger the bang." Using 12" Forte's in a separate small stereo room. Think they are anemic even if they are "some of the best" Klipsch ever made. Haha, made a guy an offer on a pair of (dual 15's) Yamaha S215V speakers
  10. oops ... forgot ... welcome to the forum
  11. Like it ... think it looks great! You replaced the 12" Heresy woofers with 15" Eminence ones ... depending on the exact model, most of those are pretty good. My only concern is the crossover frequencies. But if it sounds right you probably did great Cheers, Emile
  12. Tempting but a bit large for this small room Was looking at these Peavey's (below) also
  13. Interesting Could you just cut out the motorboard ... say 1 inch from the sides, put strips of wood behind these "edges," and just put a new motorboard in? That way you could use Crites' Faital horns and also re-position your woofer. Or ... maybe use K510 horns. See thread below. Haha ... thinking about this now as I have an extra set of 510's Any thoughts on crossovers?
  14. Have 510's with my KPT-904's as well as an extra set. Absolutely love those horns Not a 402 owner yet ... per Claude's comments; yes ... still working on the wife's acceptance
  15. Close enough to stay inside ... actually -40C=-40F. Haha; 86F in Tampa Bay, FL
  16. Haha ... yes, better than your original listing price of $14,025,015
  17. Haha; if you can live with it as is, do it But if they are in plain view (or you have a WAF to consider), forget about all the half-a$$ed solutions. "When doing a thing, do it right!" Fill it in, sand it and re-veneer. Yes, will take at least twice as long, but the result will be at least four times better. Good luck! Cheers, Emile One more thought ... take it to an auto body shop and have them fill it in and sand it ... they've got the tools and should be able to do it quickly and hopefully cheap. Do the veneering yourself.
  18. AWESOME Quite a guitar, etc collection
  19. I would be careful First, price at $3200 is "not great." Second, terminal connectors say "La Scala." ???? Good luck
  20. Haha ... obviously since you seem to be one of the "knowledgable" fanatics. Have fun
