  1. OK Chief ... apologize for my negative comments ... was just pretty disappointed that I was unable to get a replacement for my "old" 510 horn as it seemed "reasonable" (at least to me) to get a matching set of horns for my 904's. And ... my request for a "picture of a broken horn" was in jest ... I just wanted to start a conversation and looking back on it, it was in "poor taste." Regards, Emile
  2. Yeah, but do not trust them anymore ... have had promises broken
  3. Yes ... it is the "preferred" way Here's a good article for you ... https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=89614 Cheers, Emile
  4. OK; let me try to explain this again. I now have a set of KPT-904's with 2 DIFFERENT horns ... one "old" horn with a K-691 driver and one "new (w/mumps) horn with a K-691 driver. Just trying to get this system back to ORIGINAL/UPDATED specs. You think it is unreasonable to request Klipsch to remedy this? It is only Klipsch' unwillingness to serve its customers and "broken promises" by them that we have to resort to "other" means. And NO "bro;" there are no serial numbers on these horns.
  5. Hi @Sniiiface, welcome to the forum For the best sound, use the same speaker as your L/R's. "Dedicated" center channels are marketing "hype." Yes; they look nice underneath a TV, but they have a lot of sound "issues." Cheers, Emile
  6. Haha ... you know how lucky you are?
  7. I have "both." 99.9% sure they are identical
  8. Haha ... guess whom he got them from
  9. One was in a different location ... was being transferred to their shipping warehouse "for me."
  10. And the annoying part is that I was PROMISED another one ... then they change their story and stab you in the back. Real nice customer support
  11. Fighting with Klipsch Support (better known as Klipsch Gestapo) ... trying to get a replacement K-510 horn. Ordered some and had no problem ... then I get an email with "need serial number." OK; complied with number of KPT-904's. Then I get an email with "why." OK; complied with pics stating I have "one" old model horn and "one" new horn (w/mumps). Another email with cannot sell this to you without a good reason. Jeez; thought mismatched horns were a good reason Email also stated "if unit is broken, send us pics." OK; so this is my last attempt. If it does not work I'll put all my Klipsch speakers in a bonfire So; anyone have any pics of an old K-510 horn which is defective? Guess any hairline crack or broken corner will do. Many, many thanks Cheers, Emile
  12. Thanks But @CECAA850 deserves it for the countless hours he puts in trying to keep us "in line"
  13. Yeah ... think he is sending it to me
  14. Haha ... who was first or does a PM override a post Guess I should ask an "independent" moderator Since you are both from Texas, I give myself very little chance
  15. Hi @Cwall4me, I'll take the Oppo if you are willing to ship it. (Of course I'll pay for shipping.) Thanks, Emile
  16. Had a pair ... very direct, detailed and dynamic sound ... (OK; I'm a fan of Klipsch's Pro speakers) ... little thin on the bass side, but no problem if you use a subwoofer ... even without a sub I thought they were much better than Forte's. 1" exit horn is not in the same ballpark as 2" drivers like the K-510's or 904's, but pretty decent Not as good as the 396 or 904's which have (I believe) the same 15" woofer(s) ... bigger cabinets just seem do do the trick. Sold them cheap to a fellow member since my wife would only "allow" another walnut box and I did not feel like making one Paid about $300 for mine ... but they were a bit "rough," so really no clue if $500 is reasonable. Haha; offer him $400 and get them Cheers, Emile
  17. John, Thanks! Awesome! Best wishes to you for 2019 also For those who might not know ... Brian May has a PhD in Astrophysics ... he also was Chancellor at Liverpool's John Moores University
  18. Hey ... what do you expect University of Michigan Sure we'll be hearing from JimJimbo shortly
  19. Haha ... yes, and they "let them graduate" no matter what Was a Teaching Assistant in the late 70's ... course was Engineering Physics ... had a TWO-time Heisman winner in my class ... I flunked him, but of course he passed the course with flying colors Sure it is even worse these days
  20. For rock and reggae I'd go with the Chorus ... as James said, you cannot beat the 15" woofer I have (modified) RF-7's ... nice but not even close to 15" Pro woofers (in my KPT-904's ... think they are the almost the same as the Chorus II ones). Cheers, Emile
  21. Got some of their 12 gauge cables ... looks very nice ... just don't believe in better sound from speaker cables
  22. AWESOME ... completely agree Video is "long" but a very honest comparison ... highly recommend that the OP views the whole thing Cheers, Emile
