  1. Is that a bunny? If so, that’s a funny way to port your hare.
  2. No, regular Heresy were the same, which is why I asked a Klipsch employee if it was “sealed” to which he replied, “sealed enough.” If I were you, I’d seal it more than just “enough.” Yours are looking very nice.
  3. I assume you’ve seen the excellent 45 minute documentary about Mark Knopfler which features your friend. I strongly encourage everyone who reads this to watch the video. You will not be disappointed. https://www.openculture.com/2013/07/guitar-stories-mark-knopfler-on-the-six-guitars-that-shaped-his-career.html
  4. Clever indeed. The biggest problem I can see is that it makes the cabinet less sealed than it was. When I asked someone at Klipsch if Heresy is a sealed speaker, his response was, “Sealed enough.” The cup and post used in the bracket from Parts Express allow the hole to be sealed. Despite the “sealed enough” design goal, I always use gasket material to seal the horns to the motor boards, as well as the back. Any new holes are also sealed. It can’t hurt, even with HIPs or other ported Heresys. Let all the venting exit the port rather than a multitude of tiny leaks.
  5. The game was a letdown. Congratulations to Baylor.
  6. Apparently, harder than we think. Perhaps these are the special Klipsch speakers for when your amp is overloaded and clips.
  7. On second thought, the woofer mounted to the front of the motor board, is not Klipsch-like, which makes me think Klipsch did not construct the bass bin. Nonetheless, IMO, this is NOT a modified La Scala bass bin.
  8. I know that La Scalas were used with, or in, organs. I do not know that Klipsch made, the bass reflex “La Scala” being sold. I seriously doubt someone removed a doghouse to create the bass reflex cabinet being sold. IMO, the photographs do not support that explantation. Until I hear from someone associated with Klipsch to the contrary, IMO Klipsch built the organ speaker being sold. It appears to have the approximate dimensions of a true La Scala, but it is not a La Scala. I won’t lose sleep over this, but I am curious about how this bass reflex organ speaker came to exist. The photographs suggest to me that Klipsch built it. I’m eager to find out that I’m wrong.
  9. I never saw such a thing. Apparently, Klipsch provided such speakers to organ makers. What can you tell us about this Andy @HDBRbuilder, Jim @JRH, or Roy @Chief bonehead?
  10. UCLA had a remarkable run. Although undoubtedly disappointed, they have nothing to regret. They played Gonzaga hard in one of the most exciting college basketball games before losing in OT on a shot that required a fair amount of luck. I hope the Baylor vs Gonzaga final is half as exciting.
  11. They packed a lot of clothes for a three hour tour.
  12. Obviously, the speaker sitting on my deck is the reverse of how it sits on the bracket shown. The speakers are mounted high on the front walls of a middle school band practice room. When in place, the tweeters are at the bottom with the woofers at the top. The brackets allow adjustments for toe in, as well as the angle at which they fire into the space. It is necessary to drill a hole in the cabinet to insert the metal cup, but, once installed, there is no concern about vibrating off a shelf.
  13. Elden, See how easy it is to fool people, even on April 1st? @dtel
  14. I predict a Baylor vs Gonzaga final with Gonzaga remaining undefeated. I admire coach Few for staying with that program for years. It’s time to reap the reward. You know that he turned down larger contract offers from bigger schools to remain the king of Spokane. Furthermore, the late Judd Heathcote was a resident of Spokane, followed Gonzaga, and rooted for them against anyone but the MSU Spartans.
  15. All those roadies can’t be wrong. Being able to make solid connections with one hand while blindfolded is priceless. The Liechtenstein bit is just a conversation starter at parties.
  16. I haven’t watched SNL in real time for decades. Yes, this boomer got the vax.
  17. UCLA continues to amaze. Even though Michigan State took UCLA to overtime, I doubt MSU would have made it to the Elite 8. Congratulations to the Bruins.
