What's that old saying, oh yeah, "wish in one hand and poop in the other and see which fills up first'. Happy Birthday Steve.

@Dave1290, Err, uh, blush, I have several sets of Blue Jean Cables as well as Audioquest speaker cables, interconnects, and HDMI cables. π²

Before we deployed to Vietnam in 1972, I got rid of all of my music stuff that I had collected since about 1960. So, with access to the Navy Exchange in Subic Bay, I began another hoarding adventure! Now I have racks of excess stereo stuff that I've collected since 1972 (Akai, Marantz, Carver, etc.). You know, you have to keep all that stuff just in case! π² π€£

Newbie, I have Sansui speaker wire and some RCA cables that go back to 1972! π² π€£

I would recommend that you get the 3.0 version of the Bug-A-Salt over the 2.0 version. And yes, Amazon is where I got mine. Edit to add: It does mention that it works best at 3 feet from the insect, but you can get a little more distance than that. However, it is not a long range weapon.
-
@dtel, if you are referring to the Bug-A-Salt, YEP, it really does work and it is fun too! I'm still perfecting my on-the-wing skills on wasps and other bugs while they are flying!
-
Well, this isn't a permanent solution for your wasp problem, but it sure is fun and it will shred a wasp, spider, etc. I have a lot of fun with it, it satisfies my bug eradication needs, it's more fun than a fly swatter, and won't leave holes in your walls or porch ceilings! π² π

We lived in Patmos, Arkansas and I went to school in Hope, Arkansas (7th through the 9th grades), this was about 1957-60. I heard about Klipsch, but wasn't into audio gear at the time; I was into hunting and fishing. When I finally got serious about music and audio equipment, I wanted a pair of Klipsch speakers, but started out with Sansui speakers that I bought while I was in the Navy. I finally satisfied my Klipsch itch in 1998 when I bought my KLF-20's and hooked them up to my Carver CT-7 preamp and M1.0t amp. I still have them in my 2-Channel system and my Home Theater system is all Klipsch in a 5.1.2 setup.

Yep, I'm a fan of Pink Floyd and have their albums on Vinyl, Cassette, and CD. However, for videos I have David Gilmour Live At Pompeii in Blu-ray that I watch/listen to very often with our Home Theater system.

Well, if we really receive it, with mine perhaps a Marantz SR5014 4K UHD 7.2 Channel AVR.

Hereβs another picture I took of F4βs on the deck of the USS Midway (CVA-41) during our 72-73 cruise. Notice the MIG kill stenciled on 113; one of VF-161βs Phantoms.

I was in VAW-115 and flew as a member of the AEW crew in the E-2B. The F4βs flying MIGCAP were a great security blanket for us when we were on AEW/Strike Control missions. The last MIG shot down during the Vietnam War was downed on January 12, 1973 by an F4 from VF-161 attached to the USS Midway (CVA-41). Here is a picture I took of Phantom 102, the same F4 that shot down the last MIG, during recovery from a mission earlier during our 1972-73 cruise.

@wvu80 Sorry, I can't answer your question regarding the DACs with any certainty since the SR6011 was a one year earlier model than the SR5012 and is a 9.2 AVR where the SR5012 is a 7.2 AVR. I suspect the SR5012 DACs were updated, but can't say for certain. I did try an SR6012, but didn't need the extra amplifiers and the SR5012 I replaced it with had the same sound quality in my opinion.

I have a Marantz SR5012 that is sitting on the sidelines right now (original owner, box and everything it came with, perfect condition). I took it out of my 5.1.2 system to try out a newer model (2018) Denon AVR-X3500H. Truthfully, I can't really say which one I like the best since they both sound great with my Klipsch speakers, but each has its own strong points. If you don't find the deal of a lifetime π elsewhere, then as a last resort we can potentially discuss things via PM since I probably should move one out.
