Nah. They're cassette transmissions but far from quick change. Just the way they were designed in the early '50s. They are typical Harley transmissions in that the power enters and exits on the same shaft.

Funny thing is the material was for motorcycle parts. Transmission doors for Harley Sporsters. Been in that business for almost 40 years.

Yes some do. If I ever feel like spending upwards of $4K on a lens I'll buy the 58mm Noct-Nikkor f1.2. It is a beauty and takes ethereal images on film. Not even the Leica Noctalux f1.2 can match it.

1.2 lenses are for one thing. Low light shooting w/o flash. I have a 50mm f1.4 Ais. Sharp with a touch of softness in the corners wide open that's gone by f4. Who looks at corners anyways? Here it is on my F5.

Nikon D3100 using a Nikkor 50-135 f3.5 Ais manual focus zoom. Taken at 1/200 f3.5. Sharpened and added contrast to give it some bite because of his piercing stare. Man I miss that dog. It's the one standing up in this photo. These two are a great pair. The 25-50 f4 and 50-135 f3.5 cover almost anything you're likely to encounter.

Late to the party but I outweigh you buy a bit. I run Schwalbe Marathons. Lose a lot of feel (90 PSI max) but have never flatted. I ride on and sorta off road. C&O canal path and Great Allegheny Passage for example.
