Need help dating my klipschorns and knowing ohms

That era the serial number should be stamped as well as on labels. Unfortunately labels fade after 40+ years. -
Was thinking the same thing! Stay safe @billybob!

Heresy for such a small space will be more than adequate.

I hear that rumor.

I had pops a couple times. Once over driving some KLH. And blowing up a Citation 16, which took a woofer.

I’ll let others chime in on updates although as @OO1 mentioned crossover update would be a refresher. If you can solder order a kit from JEM and rebuild them yourself. as for Smyrna…. Luckily I’m just in unincorporated Cobb. 😉
-
Sounds to me you like you don’t need updates!

La Scala tweet no sound:debugging/testing
CWOReilly replied to Mr. Lou's topic in Technical/Restorations
Always good to check and tighten all connections on the crossover. I brought home a pair of LS that developed a tweeter issue that was simply a loose connection. Good luck! -
$3000 range seems fair pending physical inspection. Which is highly subjective. I’d start no less than $3500 and maybe a local will jump. I’m not ready for a Khorns yet or I might be interested myself. Good luck!

Drilling holes under RP-600M 1
CWOReilly replied to KHONGOR BATTULGA's topic in General Klipsch Info
I use Velcro! Don’t put extra holes in your speakers. -
Why are equipment usually between speakers and not on sidewall.
CWOReilly replied to Hedrus's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Well 2 subs are definitely better than one! I always say the best stands for Heresys are subs! -

CWOReilly replied to Hedrus's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I have multiple setups and 2 of them have the equipment on the side rather than between. -
Hopefully rescued and not parted out.

Older vs newer Klipsch, new member.
CWOReilly replied to Mark Swearengin's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I’m waiting for my neighbors to have another party. They usually have a tent and a big PA. I’m gonna roll the LSIs outside. -
Subwoofers are the best stands for Heresy! If you really don’t want stands then slant risers can help direct the sound upward. Of course I don’t know your room to know if that would help. I tilted my Heresy center since it sits on the floor and it blends well with the left and rights that are on subs.

New to me 1978 La Scalas - Questions and Looking for Ideas
CWOReilly replied to Peacemaker's topic in General Klipsch Info
As for finish I’d go with black. A wrap would need a smooth surface to look decent, and veneer is even more work. As for the “mechanicals” (assuming everything works) just check all the connections by loosening and tightening them all. Then listen and enjoy! -
Since there is all the WAF mentions how about we add “wife yelling to turn it down!”
