  1. Sorry missed the reply, Its a Pioneer DV 563A about 2 years old. I have about 25 other concert dvd's and a never had this problem even on rented movies.I also have a few sacd and dvd A and no problems even played a few Kodak picture disk. I think i will return and also try the cleaning disk and see what happens. Tom good thing it don't have any other messages, it would probably say "not this disk again, i won't play it", Although i never played anything dirty on it,yet.
  2. I only saw the previews, the first thing i thought was bear food, and this guy claims he was the only thing protecting the bears in that area. I guess the bears didn't think so, wonder what tree hugging group he was with anyway ?
  3. Very funny , sounds like you been to this part of Mississippi ?
  4. If you can live with the chip and scratches get the cherry , how long were they floor models? I just like the cherry, they might take something off ,more than 200? Don't know about th RB 83's, I'm sure more will jump in soon with advice.
  5. Daddy Dee i have been saying that for 5 years now ,since i became a { paw paw }. Grandkids are much more fun. Congratulations
  6. Don't make us chase you down in another thread.[]
  7. Keep asking he is probably reading, he thinks if he don't post here he is safe from questions ,ha ,i know you are reading this, we want you to be there thats all. You did take alot of bull about this last year, but here it is again .[]
  8. Michael gave up a very nice pair of Forte ll's for me and he was not the first person on this forum to help me find speakers. It is much easier to find used Klipsch with forum members than without, it all works out in the end. Me when asked i would help any member [ if i can ] weather to not bid or help pickup it would be a easy choice. If it wasn't for members here i wouldn't have either pair of Fortes, not to mention all the junk i might have bought without all the free advice i got from members.
  9. MY vote is A,B,and sometimes C .

    HD TV

We never got the superbowl in hd but i did watch many games this season in hd and never seen what you are talking about. I think it's the tv ,could be LCD my tv is CRT and never seen that before, also i don't see the lines across the feild look bent as some have seen on other large tv's,don't know why though.
  11. A few no name {cheap, cheap} JBL ? all bass nothing else DIY 15'' bass horn mid horn high , sounded better than all i had before Klipsch Baby advents , still have them in workshop Some other can't recall name big 15'' bass ,mid and high cones sounded ok,dull .....Gave them to son in law with old prologic receiver Synergy sb3 ss1 sc1 better than many, Gave them to friend this past christmas ,he lost everything in the storm, never had Klipsch before. He loved they way they sounded ,i did warn his wife it would cause him to want more Klipsch .She laughed, she has no idea what i started. Forte ll another pair Forte ll a few months later still need one more pair This is not the end of this story.
  12. I doubt that , web site just not up to date yet. I looked under reference systems this morning to see if the new 83 series speakers were there with the new centers and surrounds couldn't find them yet, takes time.
  13. I got this Sound Stage presents Steve Winwood dvd live in concert which has a bunch of spots where it freezes and makes a loud stuttering sound. This is the second one, the first one i brought back to BB and they gave me a new one, it's doing the same thing ,don't know if in the same places on the disk though. I really like the dvd but can't deal with it like this, if i was to turn it up i probably blow a speaker, looks clean no scratches but tried to clean anyway no changes. I have other sound stage dvd's that are ok. Does anybody have this disk, guess i will try to return again and see what happens. THANKS
  14. It sure was him, he kind of sliped in the back door. I hope everything is ok, glad to see that post, I went looking for it. 2 post []
  15. IT should work can't see why it wouldn't. I had a set of speakers outside and a set in the workshop but only had the B side on a receiver to work with . I put a double outlet box and two switches, when i wanted to play the workshop speakers i just turned off the outside speakers with the switches. I wasn't sure if it would work i thought there might be to much resistance from the switches , they were plain light switches but no problems. Sounds like a good idea easy to plug and unplug.
  16. Funny Wstrickland, Tibor just ask him to check out this forum.
  17. Jackson that is what i was thinking,or mabe the local ghost likes that style of music. No i doubt the ghost would care to hear it on blose either. But i don't think you would have heard it on any other speakers. Yours are apparently more sensitive the the studio monitors used.
  18. YES thats it, thanks Wuz and Tom. I had seen these and never knew what they were . I had looked in profesional speakers and other names in google images looking at all types of speakers and couldn't find one picture to put on the forum to find out what it was. After finding it's name and searching, I found it's really a strange kind of setup and never was never really copied much or at all. theatreorgans.com/hammond/faq/mystery/mystery.html
  19. I don't know what they do or what they are called . I have seen speakers used by some bands that have a metal horn looking thing on the top that spins around at different speeds as the music is played. I think it's something from a few years ago because you don't see them much anymore. Just wondering ,never did know what they were, sorry don't have a pic just thought they looked cool.
  20. Something must be wrong I don't see Moon's name on that list? It's been 12 months can the moon fly yet? []
  21. Very nice looking room, wish i had one, makes me want to add on again. How big is that room anyway it looks really big.
  22. Have you just tried to talk to him about the money. Any way it would look kind of strange that it broke after you went into the menu. There has been a few times i screwed up something in the menu that took me a couple of hours to figure out so i try to be careful. The last time i had a problem it was trying to change a sat box from 540p to 1080i the screen would just go black with just the menu saying it was on 1080i. Then i remembered the installer said if i have any problems unplug the sat box for 2 minutes and when you plug it back in it will download any changes, it worked . Why would he set it to 540p when i told him the tv was 1080i and i got the sat because i wanted HD.

    Rave HD 5.1

Anybody have the Rave channel, I just thought i would ask , don't recall any post. Rave is HD 5.1 concerts and music, depending on who's playing it's pretty good. The quality of the sound and pic is good . They also play alot of Soundstage productions, It's helps you weed out the bad concerts or recordings when you look for the dvd's. They have a good variety of music, right now U2 2005 2006 concert Vertigo . Almost forgot it's on Dish Network.
  24. Had LaScala,s for about a month { till Michael had them picked up }. I should have tried to talk Michael into letting me buy them from him, but i really want something different in the long run, no need in starting a large collection. The LaScala,s I held for Michael were Industrial, I really would have liked to have kept the top half of that set. The mid and highs of the LaScala is what is making me want to fix the crossovers and maybe add new diaphgrams to the tweeters of my forte ll,s . I do miss the LaScalas , and Michael posting here. I used a sub with the LaScalas, but i also use a sub with the Forte ll,s so i guess i just like alot of bass.
  25. Not sure about the sub but the best match would be more Forte ll,s . Not always easy to fit but that would be best. Academy,s for center and surrounds would also be good but would almost cost twice as much as all Forte,s.
