picky
Clearly, the most pathetic team in football.
BigStewMan
not by much--i was born in the shadow of the oakland collusium and i was just celebrating a 5 win season as if it were a superbowl win.
oldtimer
In a way it was like a super bowl win. In tampa against chuckie, against what was a playoff contender until the raiders squashed their hopes. A re-match of the super bowl from their last appearance there when the center went bonkers the night before the game. As for the lions, this year marks an "accomplishment" never before seen in nfl history. But picky, the red wings more than make up for it. There have been 8 previous defeated teams for an entire season although Detroit was one of them as well.
Coytee
You've got my sympathies. Being a Bengals fan, I was kind of hoping they'd flush like that once they got on their roll too. I figure with a record like that, the team (Bengals, Lions...whoever it is) has GOT to do some deep reflection on themselves. With the Bengals sucking for what... 20 years now? I figured if they went 0-16, maybe the owner would realize that over the years, players have come & gone, coaches have come & gone and the only consistent thing is ineptitude and his ownership. Thank you Detroit for ruining it yet again for the Bengals as now the owner has reason to think they've "finally turned the corner". [:^)] BTW, I never watched any Detroit games, how is Kitna viewed? I know he's a good person & all that stuff, but on the field, how is he regarded locally, as a player?
Coytee
2nd thought... If you think about it, things can only improve from here! [Y] Then again, I've thought that for the last 20 years with Cincinnati.... [:$] Flee now, while you still can!! [au].................................. jdm56
Y'all think you got problems? How about this?...Rams 2-14 / Chiefs 2-14. Should the football fans of any state in the union have to suffer through so much ineptitude in one season? It just ain't right.
Ricci
0-16 Good Lord that's bad.[+o(] The Rams should play the Chiefs to decide who gets to play the Lions in a loser takes all game called the Toilet Bowl. []
J.4knee
I'd suggest the Lions play the winner of the OU/Fl game but 0-17 is a territory that should not be ventured into in a single season. []
Joe Shmoe
LOL.... hey look at the bright side, if they cannot make history one way.... why not another? [] It's like they said on the news last night when asked about if they thought there would be a bunch of firings today "well seeing how the Ford's are still in control.... who knows?" picky
I'll give you the bright side: Rod Marinelli was fired today: That's a start...keep going.......
gonzp
At least you still have the Red Wings Glenn!!! They need to get over the netminder slump....
IndyKlipschFan
Thank goodness for Red Wings Hockey right?
m00n
I don't know whats worse. Being on the Lions team, OR being the first team next year to get beat by the Lions. []
