oldtimer
While we are on the pronunciation thread, for those who don't know, (probably everyone on here does though) Porsche is pronounced "porsh-uh" not porsh.

Mr. RF62
hmmm, "clip-shh-uh"???
oldtimer
hmmm, "clip-shh-uh"??? No, because there is no e at the end. If it were Klipsche, and the family were german, it would then indeed be Klip-shuh.

wuzzzer
Klipsch - pronounce it just like it looks. Also, SHO-MAN, does that refer to a Taurus SHO by chance?
IndyKlipschFan
Had a kid correct me, after I bought my Porsche and I laughed....(OK, TO MYSELF) You can say it right kiddo, I still own and drive the car! hahahahah Although, I do say it right now! However, I don't correct people when they say it wrong. The stock radio in the car was terrible..... I asked the dealer, he said to me, "Roger, did you buy the car for the radio or for the cars perfomance?" OK, well said.... But I replaced it with a ALPINE later.... Nice fun fast red cars, need cool tunes too!
oldtimer
<<thought "porsh-uh" was name of Julius Caesar's wife, duh! Well you are right HDBR. Except it's Portia in her case. And then you have to decide whether you would use ecclesiastical Latin pronunciation or classical Latin. Ecclesiastical is more like modern Italian and would sound closer to Por-shuh, but classical pronunciation has hard consonant sounds and would be closer to Por-tya.
