NOZ Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Here is one that I used to have. It was a Technics SA C07. Weighed a hefty 35 Lbs. 1 Quote
mungkiman Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 I had this Sony in high school. The tuner, equalizer, and tape deck were all individual components, and the speakers could be detached. Quote

oldtimer Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Is there a cooler name than Telefunken? From their vintage mikes to everything else, ...no. Quote

seti Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 OK I just know JC is going to bust in here with some crazy ghetto blaster : ) Quote
mark1101 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 JC also has the break dancing mats. Blasters and mats were standard trunk material. And no kidding........that's a Telefunken blaster. Pretty cool. Quote

Lasonic was known in the early 80's for there jamboxes getting very loud. I went through two of these. Yes....I would pull this thing out of a trunk of a car in front of Pizza Hut on a saturday night. No Sh%$. Management really never had an issue with the idea....which is a real surprise. Lasonic is making a comeback with a reissue and an iPod dock. jc http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Lasonic-Tr-918-Boombox-Ghettoblaster-Rare-/370388600054?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item563ce184f6 Quote

Hey NOZ. Good to see a value put to it, but it aint gonna be for sale any time soon. We got it through my wifes dad (RIP), and I know it's a very well built unit. He was a big ole German lad and had pretty good taste in his equipment. We used to crank it up while sailing with him. Quote

Mighty Favog Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 A neat site to poke around in..... http://pocketcalculatorshow.com/boombox/golden3.html Here was mine, a Panasonic RX5080. I think every boombox I had was a Panny. Not the best out there but keep in mind, with 10-D batteries I was carrying this thing while riding a skateboard till I got a car when I was 20. Quote
