great laugh.

we are all so pridictable.

this morning I thought about a young lady I stopped hanging out with about 4 months ago wondering why she popped back into my life for a few minutes at the 3 week point. we are all driven by brain checmicals. the one for social connection is vasporhen (not sure of the spelling). Vasporhen is produced by the brain to addict you to a relevent social aspect of yuor life. once the connection is broken, your brain, no longer stimulated by the social connection, goes into withdraw. the withdraw binge is at the 3 week point. if you can survive that, with out re-connecting in any way, you are un hooked. if you later reconnect at all, you are totally re-hooked.

sometimes it's helpful, if you want to start an informative thread, to start a few decoy threads about acoustic measurements, crossovers, amplifcation power, wires, capacitors, tube swapping or other passionate subjects. this keeps all the habitual thread busters clustered together arguring with each other and out of the thread you really were interested in. the habitual thread busters have a social need that only this behavior can satisfy. vasporhen gets produced in their brains, and they feel good, warn, and secure.

But I thought this thread was about light bulbs? Or Lightbulbs? Or electically powered lamps?

And don't forget the "political environmentalists" posting about how we should all be using Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs as they save so much energy and last so much longer (allegedly) but forget to mention the mercury contained in them to poison us all. (A FB friend posted we should send all our old worn out CFLs to Al Gore).

Or the new LED bulbs JB mentioned.

And oh, sorry, I brought up politics so now things get really ugly.
