joshjp
AWWWWWWWSOME ReferenceHead, is it a acustically transparent screen?, i bet its awsome now to watch movies.
Heritage_Head
Thanks everyone. The acoustic transparent part seems to be really good. I was told I wouldn’t hear any difference but I had my doubts (this was my biggest concern going AT screen). I’m pleased to say that I hear no audio difference what’s so ever. I pulled out my db meter just to be sure and with the screen up or down it doesn’t change at all (the meter measures in 1s so it could be less than that and not show the change). As far as the picture I’m still in the messing around stages. But so far wow this is pretty cool. I will watch a movie tonight when my gf gets home and report back. Now I just need to pick a first movie to watch. (was thinking blade haven’t watched it yet).
COACH10810
Looks amazing! Hopefully your RS-45 will shine on that screen!

themrclean
That's awesome to hear that you lose no sound through the screen, I have always wondered how much you might lose. Can't wait to see some screen shots.

Heritage_Head
So after watching a few movies I have to say this is really cool. I have no idea how to take pictures in the dark (pretty lost in the light too lol). So I turned the flash off and took a few. Would love some tips on how to work a camera in the dark. The jvc has an amazing film like picture that I don’t get with the sharp lcd (the pic below don’t come close to what I see).
Moderators Youthman Posted August 9, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 9, 2012 Reference, here is what I do....hit pause on your movie. Set your camera to Aperture Priority (on my nikon it's "A" on the dial). Set the Aperture to F11 (makes everything in focus). Set your camera on a tripod or something sturdy (barstool, chair etc). Set your timer on your camera. Definitely do not use the flash. Set your ISO to 200 (will reduce the amount of "grain" you are seeing in your images. Here is a screenshot of my screen using the settings I provided above with my Nikon D90. The only thing I did was crop the image.
Heritage_Head
Thanks youth but I don’t think my (it’s my gf camera) camera has those settings. It’s a Kodak Easy Share C180. I looked for those settings and didn’t see them (possible I don’t know what I’m doing though lol).
ivanhurd
Yeah, I'd say youthman's camera is a bit more advanced =^P
Heritage_Head
Wow you’re not kidding I just looked up his camera (like 15x more $).
JasonJCarney
My wife is a professional photographer. She uses the Nikon d7000 and d5100 right now. Unfortunately I use the iPhone 4s! Lol. I understand what your feeling. When I first hooked up my Epsom 8500 I was floored! I wonder what the 90inch LCD looks like? But honestly for $10k it's not worth it no matter how it looks. Not when u can get a perfect 100 inch screen off a projector for $1600!
Moderators Youthman Posted August 9, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 9, 2012 Wow you’re not kidding I just looked up his camera (like 15x more $). I bought it used on Craigslist with an 18-70mm lens for $750 about 2 years ago. It was around $1200 new for just the body (no lenses).
