Cornman
Dang Mike is this what becomes of one after 6 years of Jubilation [] Ha ha , excellent ideal & description of implementation.I have always considered "Reference Points" or Bench Marks a tool as necessary as say a crescent wrench. Looking forward to trying Your how to description , thanks my friend. I am still just stunned at how huge the improvement was with just the smallest tweaking of the manual output control. But of course I am just a newby in the Jub world..[ip] Happy new year all>>>>> Cornman
mikebse2a3
Dang Mike is this what becomes of one after 6 years of Jubilation Ha ha , excellent ideal & description of implementation.I have always considered "Reference Points" or Bench Marks a tool as necessary as say a crescent wrench. Looking forward to trying Your how to description , thanks my friend. Even though it might not seem like it in the begining sometimes I've come to learn that the payoff in knowledge and often times enjoyment comes from getting out of my comfort zone. Sounds like you took a chance and got out of your comfort zone cornman.[Y] Have you posted a picture of your Jubs? miketn
Cornman
Here they are, still have not started any cosmetic work. I think those center pannels have some beautiful grain, loooking forward to playing with that.
juniper
If any of you stereo guru's in the area (Travis, Chris, Luther) especially anyone with DX38 experience have time to stop by & do an audit of the DX settings & sound I would be so grateful. Here are my Dx38 settings for all four channels - screen by screen - for 2-way Jubs with TAD TD-4002 drivers on K-402 horns being driven by a First Watt F3 amplifier on channels 2 and 4, and the bass bins driven by a Crown D-75A on channels 1 and 3 (in MY room, all rotary dials at the 12:00 "0" position): (CORRECTED 15 August 2014) IN1: Master EQ1, Type: PEQ f: 92 Hz, Q:1.5 Gain: -3dB IN1: Master EQ2, Type: PEQ f: 4.2 KHz, Q:2.0 Gain: -1dB IN1: Master EQ3, Bypass IN1: Master EQ4, Bypass IN1: Master EQ5, Type: PEQ f: 100 Hz, Q:4.0 Gain: -5dB IN1: Master Delay, Delay:1917us, Unit: us IN2: Master EQ1, Type: PEQ f: 92 Hz, Q:1.5 Gain: -3dB IN2: Master EQ2, Type: PEQ f: 4.2 kHz, Q: 2.0 Gain: -1dB IN2: Master EQ3, Bypass IN2: Master EQ4, Bypass IN2: Master EQ5, Type: PEQ f: 100 Hz, Q:4:0 Gain: -5dB IN2: Master Delay, Delay: 1917us, Unit: us IN1+2: Master Delay, Delay:1917 us, Unit: us Out1: Routing, Source: IN1, Label:Lo Out1: Channel EQ1, Type: PEQ f: 180 Hz, Q:12 Gain: -4dB, Out1: Channel EQ2, Type: PEQ f: 300 Hz, Q: 12 Gain: -4dB Out1: Channel EQ3, Type: PEQ f: 370 Hz, Q: 4.0 Gain: +1dB Out1: Channel EQ4, Type: PEQ f: 700 Hz, Q: 16 Gain: -10dB Out1: HIPASS XOVER, Type:thru Out1: Lopass Xover, Type: Linkwitz 24 dB, f: 450 Hz Pol:Norm Out1: Channel Delay, Delay: 0.0us, Unit: us Out1: Compressor, Thrsh:8.70V Rat:1/1.0, Attack: 99ms Rels: 50ms Out1 :Limiter, Thrsh:8.7V, Release: 50ms Out1: Level, Level: 0.0dB, Polarity:normal Out2: Routing, Source:IN1, Label:HI Out2: Channel EQ1, Type: PEQ f: 370Hz, Q: 8.0 Gain: -10dB Out2: Channel EQ2, Type: PEQ f: 660Hz, Q: 1.5 Gain: +3 dB Out2: Channel EQ3, Type: LOSLV f: 2.5kHz, Slope: 12dB Gain: -1dB Out2: Channel EQ4 ,Type: LOSLV f: 5.4kHz, Slope: 12dB Gain: -10dB Out2: Hipass Xover, Type: Linkwitz 24 dB, f: 400Hz Pol: norm Out2: LoPass Xover, Type: thru Out2: Channel Delay, Delay:2271us, Unit: us Out2: Compressor, Thrsh: 8.70V Rat:1/1.0, Attack: 99ms Rels: 50ms Out2: Limiter, Thrsh: 8.70V, Release:50ms Out2: Level, Level: -3dB, Polarity: normal (Output3 repeats the Output1 settings, Output4 repeats the Output2 settings) Let me know if you see any errors or omissions. Chris I was wondering if someone could post a comprehensive list like this for the K402 k69 jub bin? I had an electrical engineer audio buff come out to try to program the dx 38 the other day and it turned out to an all day event with little reward. It would be great if someone did a step by step of this process with these units. thanks in advance!!!!

sheltie dave
Cornman, with everything all set to good, might I suggest you go back and add a little explanation blurb at the head of your first post, since it turns out it was something besides the F3 performance that was subtracting from your enjoyment? I have had such misunderstandings before as well, it's just important to show people we all make mistakes and don't need to assign blame before analysis. The Dude
I believe he sold them, https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/159510-jubilee-speakers-sold/Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk Edited November 21, 2015 by duder1982
Mallette
Lord have mercy. I didn't follow anything in this thread. All I can do is ensure my speakers are properly in phase and get a record on... Sounds like a plan. Dave
Cantilope
I am posting here to thank those before me, this has made my setting up of my system much easier. This is easily the most useful thread on the site and I reference it monthly. Thanks!
Chris A
If you go to the eighth post in this thread (on the first page), you'll see update to the Jubilee/TAD TD-4002 settings that I'm currently using with my Xilica XP series crossover. It uses "bandwidth" instead of "Q" for the filters, and also has much different "Q" for the two low shelf filters on the TAD channels.
