My 901's are cowering in a corner, sobbing. I hope you are all happy!

Bose 901s, man I remember those back in my PX days, as I remember they were hanging on chains and in the 70s in the PI were $700.

So adjusting for inflation, they would be about $1,600 now. I will sell you mine for half that!

OK, but to quote my 7 year old, "You started it!" (working on my wave radio mod") :)

Is their only the basic upgrade for the RF7-II's or do you have a few other options?

Technically, as Dean said, it's not a "mod" since he is not changing any of the values on the components but merely upgrading the components themselves. ;)

Looks like a MOD to me.

I'll let Dean and Webster duke it out on that one. :P

It's different than it was, so I guess it's a mod. The word seems too strong though - on other forums I'm seeing this referred to as a tweak.

That adhesive is terrible to work around, and melting point of the original solder is higher than it should be, which makes me wonder if it has silver in it. My station is set to 850 degrees, and it's taking way to long for that stuff to go into a fluid state.

You're in Florida, and I don't think I can get these out until Thursday. You may not see these until Monday - sorry!

No worries Dean. They will get here when they do. I'm very patient so that probably helps too. :D
