willland
Brucenc, Did you look at that Parasound combo link? I owned that combo for a little while and was totally impressed with the power of the amp and features of the 2100. Super price for the set. willland
I have owned my RF-63's since May 2008 and would never drive them with anything but an outboard amp with the exception of a few flagship AVR's that are out there. Bill
dad311
I drive my rf-63 with a emotiva xpa-5. I have dual subs but don't use them for music because the rf-63 simply has plenty of thump without them. I do believe any speakers sound better with a quality external amp.
willland
I "borrowed" a pair of 63s recently and had absolutely no problem driving them with my onkyo avr. Now I do have one of the more powerful onkyos and my room is small, so that probably helped. Power was endless. Your 3008 is a beast and as mentioned, will have an easy time driving the 63's. My buddy has an Onkyo TX-NR5008 driving a full RF-7 system(RF-7's, RC-7, RS-7's) in a 16 x 25 x 8 theater room and one thing it is not missing is POWER. brucenc
These sound great with my aventage and can't wait to get an amp to really drive them. Working on that now.

Scrappydue
Agreed. Usually a 5 channel amp is only a few hundred more. If you can squeeze that I would.
