OO1
Excellent work - and all the floors and walls are so straight -if you campare this to prefab trailers - there is no comparison-

mungkiman
And the custom track system for "barn" style sliding doors:
oldtimer
I love that track system. I have long imagined something like that for a timber frame. Ideally a fat one for wall sized sliders which can be used for storage like books, etc. Edited March 4, 2015 by oldtimer
mungkiman
Thanks. It was nice to use free trolleys (salvaged from my current remodel), and then to get all the steel pieces laser cut, welded, and installed for only $600. Next design task at hand is for a telescoping rolling "library" ladder that will roll the full length of the house.

mungkiman
Thanks. Dark photo, but the exterior lights are done, as are 1/2 of the interior pendants. Hope to finish the interior tomorrow.

mungkiman
I'm a builder, but not usually on the design end of the pencil. This project was an opportunity, in addition to being a labor of love.

derrickdj1
You may not be a designer but, a lot of thought has to go into something like this. I always tell people build a house and after a year or two sell and build a house without all the little things that you liked and correct the ones that you didn't like in the first house. Like a drain in the laundry room floor for me, lol.
