Johnthang
I started on dovetails this morning. Decided on half blind dovetails, so the top would have a clean appearance. Next will be the groove for the front board. Edited June 28, 2015 by Johnthang
Marvel
Really, really nice! May I ask how much that wood cost you? Bruce
Johnthang
The board I started with was $600. I used just under half for both speaker boxes.

Ceptorman
Since it's not a veneer, I like how the inside has graining also.

tnr
I'll take a pair of Chorus ii's with the leftover scraps. Why did I only take 2 classes of woodshop in jr. high?

MookieStl
Great craftsmanship. These will become an heirloom I am sure. How do you plan to seal off the inside of this cabinet? I am sure when you seal the wood on the exterior it will fill any gaps in the dovetails, but you may want to do some extra work on the interior to keep these bad boys from letting out too much air. Heresy's were never totally air tight or acoustic suspension design but you don't want to have it leaking in too many areas. A good dampening on the inside may also help deaden the reaction of this hard wood. Again, very nicely done.
ricktate
How did these turn out do you have finished pics??? Also did you seal inside to keep wood from moving and warping. I have done some chess boards in oak and failed to seal them and the joints started pulling apart cause of wood movement. Rick
