Jelle
Hi, I am new to this forum, this is my first post here. After having read a lot about the Klipsch La Scala, and its ability of make the music sound as if you are there with the musicians, I would very much like to hear if this may be the speaker I have been looking for. Is there anyone in or close to North new Jersey who would not mind demoing his of her speakers to me? Preferably driven with a tube amp. :-) Thanks in advance, Jelle Edited September 6, 2015 by Jelle
ZEUS121996
Hey Jelle Welcome to insanity! There should be quite a few people your way who would be happy to let you stop in for a listen. Kick back and enjoy it Mark

Jelle
Thanks for the kind words! I am currently rebuilding a Luxman MQ68c tube poweramp that was given to me. I build tube amps for a living, so it will be not that hard to do, and the Luxman will be modded to accept current production powertubes. It is a 40WPC push pull triode amp, and I am looking for efficient speakers that sound very much alive. That last bit is important to me as I have been a hobby musician for two decades, and I want that visceral response when listening to my new hifi set. I want to be excited. Maybe I should listen to Klipschorns too. :-)

Marvel
LaScalas are rather large speakers, but once you get them, you will find they appear to get smaller over time. The sound, however, does not. I used 3.5 watt amps on my LS and found them to be absolutely wonderful. I thought that model was only around 25WPC, but even that would be sufficient to power a pair of LS. Welcome aboard! Bruce
tube fanatic
I build tube amps for a living Finally, another tube amp guy in NJ! What kind of amps do you build? Please post pics or anything else in the new Talkin' Tubes section. Regrettably, I don't have LSs or K-horns to demo for you...
